The invention relates to aircraft seats, including cockpit seats. There is an ongoing effort to improve the front end of passenger and cargo aircraft. In this context, all components of the cockpit or cockpit are concerned, particularly the seats. These are divided into two categories: on the one hand the pilot seats are relatively complex and obey a very rich specifications, on the other hand the additional seat or seats that can be installed in the cockpit for meet specific needs. They most often have a secondary function and are intended to accommodate an observer or an accompanying person. Such a seat is commonly made in the form of a folding seat that has a small footprint in the folded position, the seat being folded against the backrest, these extending vertically against each other. This configuration reduces the volume occupied by the jump seat when not in use. The installation of this folding seat in the cockpit does not have a heavy impact on the latter. However, it is not inconsequential, so that the optimization of the cockpit can also involve the folding seats. Thus, the presence of one or more folding seats has consequences on the complexity of the floor, the overall size of the cockpit, the equipment maintenance possibilities of the latter and its operational nature, given its particularly sensitive aspect. . In addition, it is desired, as far as possible, to reduce both the weight and the cost of the cockpit. An object of the invention is to facilitate the integration of folding seats in aircraft, especially in the cockpit by minimizing the impact of the available volume in the latter, the cost of its implementation, the complexity of the floor and the mass of all. For this purpose, it provides according to the invention a jump seat for an aircraft, including a cockpit, which comprises a seat and a backrest, the jump seat being able to take a configuration in which the seat and the backrest extend each one vertically, one above the other and parallel to each other. Thus, it has a single layer of the backrest and the seat so that the volume occupied by the folding seat in storage configuration is particularly low. This jump seat can be realized with a mass and a reduced cost and does not imply to complicate the structure of the floor of the aircraft. Preferably, the jump seat is arranged so that, in the configuration, the main front faces and / or the rear main faces of the seat and the backrest are coplanar. It can therefore be provided that the main front faces of the seat and the backrest are coplanar with each other, or that the main rear faces of the seat and the backrest are coplanar with each other, or both at the same time. Thus, we optimize the volume reduction achieved by the jump seat in storage configuration. Preferably, the jump seat is arranged such that, in the configuration, the main front faces of the seat and backrest and the front faces of a jump seat frame are coplanar. Thus the jump seat defines a plane in rest configuration and then has a very small footprint. Advantageously, the jump seat is arranged so that the backrest reaches the configuration at the end of an upward movement relative to a chassis of the jump seat. Preferably, the folding seat comprises return means of the folder tending to place it in the aforementioned configuration. Thus, no particular maneuver is necessary to place the jump seat in the storage configuration once it is no longer used. The jump seat according to the invention may furthermore have at least one of the following features: the backrest is slidably movable in the vertical direction and rotated about a horizontal axis relative to a seat of the folding seat; The seat is slidably mounted in the vertical direction and rotatable about a horizontal axis relative to a seat of the folding seat; - The jump seat includes at least one rod connected directly to the seat and backrest; it comprises at least one connecting rod connected directly to the seat and to a chassis of the jump seat; and - the connecting rods connecting the seat to the backrest and the frame respectively are articulated around a common axis. Each of these features facilitates the realization of the jump seat and provides a saving of movement in the passage of the folding seat from the storage configuration to its use configuration and vice versa. The mechanism for changing the configuration can be made lightweight and compact. Advantageously, the configuration being a storage configuration, the jump seat comprises a headrest extending opposite an empty space above the backrest in a configuration of use of the jump seat and covering at least partially the folder in 5 storage configuration. Thus, the presence of the headrest does not increase the size of the folding seat in storage configuration. Preferably, the headrest comprises a flexible membrane and without support on a rear face of the membrane in a configuration of use of the jump seat. Thus, the occupant of the jump seat can support his head comfortably against the membrane. We take advantage on this occasion of the volume left free by the release of the backrest behind the headrest. Advantageously, the jump seat comprises a folded lifejacket 15 extending vertically, below the seat and parallel to the latter in the configuration. Here again, it is therefore possible to equip the jump seat with a lifejacket without substantially increasing the volume occupied by the jump seat in the storage configuration.
It is also provided according to the invention an aircraft which comprises at least a jump seat according to the invention, in particular in a cockpit of the aircraft. Other features and advantages of the invention will become apparent in the following description of an embodiment given by way of nonlimiting example with reference to the appended drawings, in which: FIGS. 1 to 3 are perspective views a folding seat according to an embodiment of the invention in use configuration in Figures 1 and 2 and storage configuration in Figure 3; FIGS. 4 and 5 are side views of the folding seat of FIG. 1 respectively in use and storage configurations; - Figure 6 is a view similar to Figure 4 showing an occupant installed on the jump seat; and FIG. 7 is a perspective view of an aircraft comprising such a folding seat.
In the present example, this is an aerodyne and in this case an aircraft 2 comprising a fuselage 4 and two wings 6. It comprises an empennage 8 and reactors 10 here two in number and attached to the respective wings. It is an aircraft intended for the transport of goods and / or of one or more persons. It comprises at the front of the fuselage 4 a cockpit 12 intended to be occupied by at least one pilot.
The cockpit, which has not been shown in detail, includes one or more pilot seats, in this case two in number, located at the front of the cockpit. The cockpit includes various electronic and computer equipment and instruments, in particular display screens and aircraft control members that can be accessed or actuated by the pilot (s) when they occupy the pilot seat. The cockpit 12 also comprises one or more folding seats 14 such as that illustrated in FIGS. 1 to 6. There are two folding seats in the rear of the cockpit. They are leaned against a flat rear wall 13 of the cockpit, perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the aircraft 4. They are located on either side of a cockpit access door through which the latter communicates in particular with a main cabin located further back and comprising passenger seats and / or receiving locations of goods. The jump seat 14 comprises a frame 16 comprising a rectangular frame 20, leaned and attached to a front face of the wall 13 and rigidly fixed thereto, the floor 26 and the general structure of the aircraft. The frame comprises two rectilinear uprights 18 extending vertically, parallel to each other, at a distance and facing one another, and a crossmember 20 connecting the one to the other ends higher amounts. The uprights 18 have a rectangular transverse profile, for example square. They have a flat front face 17 perpendicular to the partition 13. The jump seat 16 comprises a seat 22 and a backrest 24. Both have a flat shape, generally flat and rectangular in plan. The seat 22 and the backrest 24 each have two planar, parallel and opposite main faces to each other. They are each mounted movable relative to the frame 16. The backrest 24 has horizontal end edges respectively upper 28 and lower 30. By its upper end edge 28, the backrest 24 is slidably mounted in the vertical direction by relative to the latter 16 about a horizontal axis 32 parallel to the wall 13. For this, the edge 28 carries rollers rotatably mounted relative to the backrest 24 near the lateral edges of the latter and engaged in 2962714 -5- slides provided on an inner face of the uprights 18 and guiding the rollers relative to the uprights in a vertical path. The backrest 24 is connected to the seat 22 by its front end edge by means of a connecting rod 34 articulated directly to the backrest and the seat by its two respective ends. The rod is articulated in this case to a median region of a lateral edge of the seat 22. The latter is also mounted movable relative to the frame 16 both sliding in the vertical direction and rotation around a horizontal axis 36 parallel to the axis 32. In this case, the seat 22 comprises two longitudinal members 38 projecting from a rear edge of the seat and each carrying respective rollers rotatably mounted on the end of the longitudinal members and movably mounted in slides here again formed in an inner face of the uprights 18 to guide the rollers in a vertical path relative to the frame.
The seat 22 is also connected to the frame by means of two connecting rods 40, each articulated directly on the one hand to the seat 22 and on the other hand to the frame 16, to the lower end of the uprights 18. The respective shafts rotation of the connecting rods are identical. In addition, the axis 41 of rotation of one of the connecting rods 40 relative to the seat 22 coincides with the axis of rotation of the connecting rod 34 relative to the seat, these two connecting rods being connected to one same point of the seat. The jump seat 12 further comprises a headrest 42 formed in this case by a membrane such as a fabric, flexible, movable and stretched between the two uprights 18 in the upper part thereof and the spar 20, the uprights and the spar forming a frame for the fabric 42. The headrest is arranged so that the fabric extends slightly forward of the front face of the backrest 24 when the folding seat is in storage configuration to cover the latter in this configuration as we will see later. The headrest extends completely above the backrest 24 when the jump seat is in the use configuration. The jump seat 12 further comprises a module or rescue kit 44 having a generally rectangular flat parallelepiped shape. This kit 44 is housed between the two uprights 18 at the base thereof so as to extend completely under the seat 22 when the jump seat is in the storage configuration as will be seen later. The kit 44 includes a folded lifejacket. The jump seat 12 may at the user's wish have two configurations, namely a folded configuration or storage or storage configuration illustrated in FIGS. 3 and 5 and an unfolded use configuration or configuration illustrated in FIGS. 2, 4 and 6 and allowing a user 52 to sit.
In the configuration of use, the seat 22 extends in a general plane slightly inclined towards the rear relative to the horizontal plane, this inclination being typically less than 20 °. The backrest 24 is slightly inclined upwards with respect to the vertical direction, here again this inclination being less than 20 °. In this configuration, the user rests on the seat 22 and leans against the backrest 24. Its head is resting on the headrest 42. Knowing that a free space is provided behind the fabric 42, the latter can move back under the solicitation of the user's head, thus providing a comfortable support. The jump seat 12 is provided with return means 54 connecting the backrest 24 to the frame 16. These means are arranged so that, when the user leaves the jump seat 12, the latter automatically switches from the use configuration to the configuration of storage. During this passage, the backrest 24 is biased by the return means to move upwards. Thanks to the rod 34, it drives in the same movement the seat 22 which tilts towards the rear. During movement, the inclination of the backrest 24 relative to the vertical direction is reduced until the backrest is vertical. The file slides under the fabric 42 of the headrest between the uprights 18 so that in the storage configuration, the upper portion of the front face of the backrest is covered by the fabric 42 in surface contact with this face. During the movement, the seat tilts backwards so as to extend between the uprights 18. In the storage configuration, the kit 44, the seat 22 and the backrest 24 each extend vertically, one to the other. above the others, parallel to each other and in the same vertical plane. They are all three received between the uprights 18. They are thus arranged in a single layer relative to each other. In particular, the backrest and the seat are not superimposed on each other in the horizontal direction. The main front faces of the seat 22, the backrest 24 and the kit 44 are vertical, parallel to each other and to the partition 13 and coplanar, as well as their rear main faces. The 35 main front faces of the seat and the backrest and the front faces 17 of the uprights 18 are coplanar. The chassis 16 of the folding seat is rigidly fixed to the partition and may even provide a structural function of stiffening the latter. It is then possible to reduce or even eliminate the stresses that the jump seat proper is likely to generate in the floor 26. The seat 22 and the backrest 24 may comprise at least one thickness of foam covered by at least one flexible wall such that tissue. The thickness of the folding seat in storage configuration can be reduced to 60 millimeters while it is around 250 millimeters as measured on the ground for a classic folding seat. Of course, many modifications can be made to the invention without departing from the scope thereof. Although the jump seat has been described as being part of a cockpit of an aircraft, it is possible to provide at least one folding seat according to the invention in another part of the aircraft than the cockpit, for example in a cabin intended to receive passengers. The jump seat can be used especially for flight crew. The jump seat may include a mechanism different from that which has been described. For example, the seat 22 and the backrest 24 could each be rotatable about a respective horizontal axis upwardly or downwardly relative to the frame 16.
