Abstract

The invention relates to an interface device between a first part (P1) of an electrical network including a source (11) supplying the network with direct current, capable of applying an input voltage (V1) to the interface device (20), as well as a second part (P2) of a network including at least one apparatus (EQ2) to be supplied with direct current by the interface device, said interface device (20) being capable of delivering an output voltage (V2) over the second part (P2) of a network, said output voltage being equal to a set value (Vcons) when the input voltage (V1) falls below a given nominal value (V10). According to the invention, the set value (Vcons) is limited to values lower than the nominal value (V10), defined so as to guarantee functional operation of said apparatus (EQ2) and to minimize the electrical energy provided by the interface device (20). Said device can be used for electrical supply of the on-board network of motor vehicles, in particular motor vehicles having automatic stopping and restarting ("Stop and Start") systems.
