Description
The present invention relates to a thermal process for upgrading low temperature thermal energy, dissipated in particular by absorption chilled water production units often integrated in multi-generation systems.
To date, absorption chillers are used according to Figure I attached as annexes.
) The heat introduced (1) in the absorption cold unit (2) is either directly produced heat (gas combustion in particular) or, more effectively, recovered heat (pressurized water or steam) in a production system of electrical energy. (gas turbines, alternative gas engines or Diesel etc ...)
The produced chilled water (3) feeds the air conditioning circuits (4) and the low temperature heat (sum of the heat introduced and the subtracted cold) is extracted by the circuit (4) into the evaporative cooling towers of water (5) equipped with fans (6)
Absorption chilled water plants are often integrated into electric power generation plants (gas or diesel turbines or engines) in cogeneration or tri-generation plants: generation of electricity, heat and energy. cold 20 to significantly increase the yield on the primary energy.
The regulations by PLCs associated with these installations use the heat available in the various circuits, complement it if necessary, control the evacuation of excess heat if the circuits can not absorb all the thermal energy produced by the turbines or engines, this excess is dissipated by the coolers of the generators. (water / water or aero-refrigerant exchanger) In all cases, the low temperature heat extracted from the chilled water chillers is not used.
The invention values the low temperature energy of chilled water units integrated in multi-generation systems.
According to a characteristic of the invention, a heat pump is used for the evaporator side to absorb the low temperature heat of the chilled water unit, and, on the condenser side, to restore this heat to a higher temperature level. The removal of the cooling towers increases the overall efficiency of the system. According to another characteristic of the invention, the thermal circuit, on the condenser side of the heat pump, is mixed with the other recovery circuits at higher temperature levels in order to use the heat pump with the lowest possible temperature differential. compatible with efficient heat transfer to consumer circuits.
The low temperature differential between the evaporator and the condenser allows the very high performance coefficients sought.
According to another characteristic of the invention, a regulation comparing the measurements of the thermal parameters of the system, the pre-recorded curves of hourly and daily thermal consumptions, and the state of the consumer circuits makes it possible, at any time, to use the all the heat available by the anticipated switching of the energy in the different circuits. According to another characteristic of the invention, a regulation complementary to the preceding one adjusts the condensing temperature of the heat pump to the lowest level compatible with the heat transfer to the consumer circuits, after mixing with the other recovery circuits. This low temperature level, adjusted in real time according to the state of the consumer circuits, makes it possible, at any time, to operate with the best possible coefficient of performance of the heat pump.
The invention will be better understood on reading the detailed description which follows, and on examining FIG. 11 attached to the appendices, which represents by way of nonlimiting example an embodiment of the invention.
Figure II shows the integrated invention to a multi-generation system of electricity and heat. Thermal energy being used for different needs.
In Figure II, the driving machine (1) of the electric generator (here a gas or diesel engine) is integral with the driven generator (2). A first heat recovery circuit evaluates the exhaust gas (3) in a heat exchanger (4) to generate pressurized hot water or steam in the circuit (6). The exhaust gases at a temperature above the condensing temperature of its components are discharged into the duct (5). The absorption chiller (7) may be single or multi-stage. Its generator is supplied with heat by the circuit (6), the evaporator supplies the chilled water circuit (8) and the heat at low temperature (30 ° C) is evacuated from the condenser and the absorber by the circuit ( 9).
The circuit (9) low temperature heat (30 ° C) is cooled by the evaporator of the heat pump (10), itself driven by the electric motor (11).
The heat pump (10) has two functions: the first is to cool the condenser and the absorber of the chiller (7), through the circuit (9). The second is to raise the low-temperature thermal energy of the circuit (9) to a temperature level usable by the heat-consuming circuits. The condenser outlet temperature level of the heat pump (circuit 12) will be permanently maintained at the minimum necessary in order to operate the heat pump with a high coefficient of performance due to a small temperature difference between the evaporator and evaporator circuits. condenser. The high level 85 coefficient of performance of the heat pump is essential for overall energy efficiency. This high efficiency by low temperature difference between the evaporator and condenser circuits is made possible by raising the temperature of the energy produced in the circuit (12) by mixing with the heat at higher temperature of the engine water circuit. alternatively (1) in the circuit (13) and, at certain periods of the cycle, with the 90 circuit recovered on the exhaust (6a), as well as possibly with other recovery or generation circuit.
In the embodiment of the innovation in Figure II, the uses of thermal energy are: the absorption chiller, the domestic hot water generation 95 (15) and the desalination of sea by evapo-condensation (16), the fresh water being stored in the tank (18).
The temperature rise of the circuit (12) by adding the other recovery circuits makes it possible to reach the temperature level required by the temperature transfer to the 100 heat utilization circuits (15) and (16) of the figure II.
The set of energy parameters is managed by the control and regulation and control cabinet (20) and the instrumentation links marked in dotted lines in FIG.
In addition to the conventional control functions, this PLC control cabinet (20) permanently ensures: the dynamic regulation of all the parameters, the maximization of the free heat recovered in the various circuits and maintains it at the highest of the coefficient performance of the heat pump (10).
According to the electric power produced by the generator (2), the regulation anticipates the recoverable heat capacities in the cogeneration circuits: on the exhaust gas (3) as well as on the water circuit of the crankcase (13).
The thermal requirements of the energy recovery circuits are also known by measuring and memorizing the evolution curves.
In the embodiment of FIG. II, the quantity of cooling energy absorbed by the circuit (8) is measured and compared with the typical stored curves in order to anticipate its hourly and daily evolution. The amount of heat available in the circuit (6bis) will be 120 thus determined by calculation. It is the same for the necessary thermal powers and their evolutions in the domestic hot-water (15) and desalination (15) circuits.
This control unit analyzes in real time all the power parameters 125 electrical, refrigerating and thermal demanded by the various circuits integrating these values and comparing them to the typical curves stored. The control cabinet (20) controls the regulating members to allow maximum heat recovery by anticipating the adjustments as a function of the variations of the energy parameters measured with respect to the expected parameters (stored in memory). In addition, the control cabinet (20) will maintain the coefficient of performance of the heat pump (10) highest, keeping the temperature in the circuit (12) at the minimum usable in the systems (15). ) and (16) after adding thereto the thermal energy of the circuits (13), (6bis) and, optionally, other recovery circuits, and, or generation. 135 Thanks to these expectations on all heat generating and heating circuits, the regulation makes it possible to recover all of the cogenerated energy through an always optimal use of the flows in the various consumer circuits or to the thermal energy storage ( hot water or chilled water) or to the storage of the result of the work of thermal energy such as desalinated water.
The regulation thus allows an anticipated switching of the thermal energy to, if necessary, the storage of chilled water (19) or domestic hot water (15), as well as to the desalinated water basin (18). In addition, the control cabinet controls the condensing temperature of the heat pump so that it works continuously with the best possible coefficient of performance. Regulating the condensing temperature of the heat pump (10), it controls the temperature of the water in the circuit (12). This temperature will be permanently adjusted in order to maximize the coefficient of performance and recovery.
Example of regulation of the system described in Figure II: if the system at a time t does not require desalination and all the heat of the exhaust system (6) is consumed by the chilled water unit ( 7) (no heat energy 155 in the circuit (6a)).
If the hot water storage is at 55 ° C, the heat transfer with a temperature difference of 5 ° C is done with water at 60 ° C. The control controls the condensing temperature of the heat pump so that its circuit (12), mixed with the water-motor circuit 160 (13), is at 60 ° C. The temperature in the circuit (12) will therefore be as low as possible in this given situation and therefore allow the best possible coefficient of performance of the heat pump. This remains possible in all states of the system.
The device according to the invention is particularly intended for the generation of electricity in isolated sites whose heat needs are important, whether used directly or transformed.
