Description
TECHNICAL FIELD The invention relates to vehicles capable of towing another vehicle or a trailer. It applies in particular to motor vehicles whose models are the least standardized, in order to be able to form heterogeneous car trains coupled to each other.
PRIOR ART AND PROBLEM POSE In this case of the design of passenger car trains, coupled to each other, the coupling system must have standardized interfaces to be able to couple the vehicles to each other, to the goodwill of the users and, if possible, automatically. On the other hand, in the automotive field, trailer couplings are equipped in most cases with a locking system associated with the towed element and with a spherical anchorage system on the trailer. towing vehicle. The interlocking of these two corresponding elements requires a precise approach of one vehicle with respect to the other, with, often, a manual correction on the part of an operator. Locking is also done manually, for example with a carabiner or 2 safety pin. It is the same for the electrical connection of the towed vehicle relative to the towing vehicle. In the case of the operation of vehicles of the passenger car type that can be coupled to each other, there is a need to have an automatic locking and locking system, without manual intervention by an operator. or multiple operators.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION To this end, the main object of the invention is a device for attaching a towed vehicle to a towing vehicle, the towbar obtained accepting a steering angle of a vehicle relative to the vehicle. 'other. According to the invention, the towed vehicle has a front lashing piece such as a plate hinged to the horizontal and flexible relative to the vertical when the towed vehicle is horizontal and having horizontal pins vertical guide. For its part, the towing vehicle has a rear lashing piece in the form of a centering plate with a progressive and longitudinally symmetrical shape at the base of which there are two housings intended to receive the vertical pins for guiding the hinged plate. . In its preferred embodiment, it comprises fastening members of the towing vehicle, to be put in place on hanging pins mounted vertically on the articulated plate of the towed vehicle, 3 and pivotally mounted each around a second axis mounted on a fixed platform and each equipped with a return spring in rotation.
Preferably, the progressive form is a semicircular shape. The device advantageously consists of a motorized locking system for locking the attachment members of the towing vehicle in place on the vertical attachment pins of the towed vehicle, this attachment device comprising a movable plate longitudinally by means of a motor and auger system on the entire towing vehicle, the hooking members having a first and a second external surface angularly oriented relative to each other so as to make an external angle less than 180 ° and on each of which rests an internal control surface of the movable plate, so as to lock the fastening members, during attachment, on the hooking pins of the towed vehicle and away from them by a reverse movement , during a stall maneuver. The articulated plate of the towed vehicle is provided articulated around a first vertical axis when the towed vehicle is horizontal. To facilitate attachment, the first axis is fixed on a base flexibly fixed in rotation about an axis of traction rotation of the towed vehicle by means of alignment springs. 4 The device is completed with male and female plugs placed under the elements above, one of which is placed, for example, under the movable plate, so as to achieve, together with a latching, electrical connections and commands between the towed vehicle and the towing vehicle. LIST OF FIGURES The invention and its various technical features will be better understood on reading the following description which is accompanied by seven figures respectively representing: FIGS. 1A, 1B and 1C, the three steps of securing with the device according to FIG. invention, in a first case, - Figures 2A, 2B and 2C, the three steps of a stowage of the device according to the invention in a second case, - Figure 3, a side view of the device according to the invention once locked, and - 4A 4B and 4C, diagrams explaining the operation of the lock. DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE EMBODIMENT OF THE INVENTION Figure 1A shows a front assembly 1 of a towed vehicle and a rear assembly 10 of a towing vehicle. The front assembly 1 of the towed vehicle mainly comprises a base 2 fixed loosely in the axis of the vehicle towed by springs or an elastic fastener on which is pivotally mounted about a first axis A1 articulated plate 5. The latter supports mainly a first pair of horizontal guide pins 3 which are themselves vertical and a second pair of attachment pegs 4 which are also vertical when the towed vehicle is in the normal position, that is to say horizontal. The hinged plate 5 can therefore pivot about the axis Al so as to allow a circular displacement of the two pairs of guide pins 3 and latching pins 4. There are shown two alignment springs 20 to show the flexible assembly of the base 2 of the towed vehicle around an axis of traction rotation A3 of the towed vehicle. The rear assembly 10 of the towing vehicle also has a fixed structure 11 carrying a fixed plate 12 ending in a centering plate 12A which has a semicircular shape and symmetrical with respect to a longitudinal axis of the assembly. The semicircular shape of the guide plate 10A is an example of shape, it must be progressive, that is to say, its section to be increasingly wide as one progresses to the fixed structure 11. It is noted that the junction of the centering plate 12A with the fixed plate 12 by two housings 12B of rounded shape with a diameter corresponding to the diameter of the guide pins 3 of the front assembly 1 of the towed vehicle.
On the fixed plate 12 are pivotably mounted around two second axes A2 of the fastening members 6, the end of which has a hook shape 15A. By their pivoting, the hooks 15A of the hooking members 15 can be spaced apart so that they can be tightened, once they have passed the two catching pins 4 by means of two not shown return springs. To manipulate the latching members, a locking plate 16 is also used which is movable in longitudinal translation by means of slots 17 of the fixed base 11 and translational pins 18 integral with this locking plate 16 and each sliding in a 17. A geared motor 13 translates the locking plate 16 in translation by means of two worm gear systems 14 and two angular gearboxes 19. In this FIG. 1A, the locking plate is in the intermediate position. Figure 1B shows the assembly in a united position. In other words, the front assembly 1 of the towed vehicle is in contact with the fixed assembly 10 of the towing vehicle following a combination of the two vehicles. In this case, the two vehicles are relatively aligned with each other.
Therefore, the centering plate 12A is passed above the articulated plate 5 of the front assembly 1 of the towed vehicle, in the middle of the two centering pins 3 of the fixed plate 12. Thus, it is positioned relative to the articulated plate 5 and, consequently, the fixed front assembly 1 of the towed vehicle is positioned with respect to a rear fixed assembly 10 of the towing vehicle. The fastening members 15 are separated by the attachment points 4 and closed again. In this position, the locking plate 16 is in the retracted position, that is to say that the translation pins 18 are at the top of the lights 17. Indeed, the geared motor 13 has been actuated, which has had the effect to move the locking plate 16 of the rear assembly 10 of the towing vehicle to the front assembly 1 of the towed vehicle. However, the two attachment members 15 have two outer surfaces 15B and 15C which form an obtuse angle slightly less than 180 ° and so that all of these two outer surfaces 15B and 15C is a concave shape. For its part, the locking plate 16 has two control surfaces 16A whose spacing corresponds to the distance separating the two second outer surfaces 15B which are near the hooks 15A, when they are substantially vertical. As a result, the downward translation of the figure of the locking plate 16 has caused, by the progression of the control surfaces 16A against the first outer surface 15B of the hooking members 15, an approximation of the hooks 15A.
As moreover, they have exceeded the location of the two hanging pins 4, the assembly is locked. With reference to FIG. 1C, an inverse operation of the gearmotor 13 causes, of course, the removal of the locking plate 16. As a result, the control surfaces 16A of the latter 8 eventually project beyond the first external surface 15B of the control members. hooking 15 to come to bear on the second outer surfaces 15C. Due to the inclination of the latter, this causes a pivoting of each fastening member 15 so that the hooks 15A deviate and are released with respect to the attachment pegs 4. It may be that both towing and towed vehicles are not aligned. Indeed, it is conceivable that a user of the towed vehicle is positioned by the front of his vehicle to the rear hitch of a towing vehicle, but staggered. In this case, the front assembly 1 of the towed vehicle is not in the same longitudinal axis as that of the rear assembly 10 of the towing vehicle. Therefore, the articulated plate 5 which is pivotally mounted about the first axis Al of the fixed front base 1 of the towed vehicle 1 has its two guide pins 3 shifted relative to the position of the fastening members 15 of the rear device of the towing vehicle. Thus, the centering plate 12A of the rear device of the towed vehicle is in contact by its right edge with the guide pin 3 placed on the right articulated plate 5 of the front device of the towed vehicle. On the other side, this centering plate 12A, by its semicircular shape, is not in contact with the guide pin 3 placed on the left of the figure. Be that as it may, the securing piece 10A of the rear device of the towing vehicle progresses below the articulated plate 5 of the front device of the towed vehicle, the guide pin 3 placed on the straight sliding against the circumference of the semicircle that constitutes the prominent surface of the centering plate 12A.
Figure 2B shows the next phase of this progression. Under the stress of the centering plate 12A on the centering pin 3 placed on the right, the articulated plate 5 of the towed vehicle, pivotally mounted about the first axis Al pivots slightly.
Thus, the guide pin 3 placed on the left, mounted on the articulated plate 5 of the towed vehicle is thus closer to the peripheral surface of the centering plate 10A of the towing vehicle device. The articulated plate 5 of the towed vehicle thus aligns with the longitudinal axis of the rear device represented by the fixed rear base 10 of the towing vehicle. With reference to FIG. 2C, the progression of the towed vehicle represented by the fixed base before 1 continued to progress towards the rear fixed base 10 of the towing vehicle. The circular end surface 5A of the pivoted articulated plate 5 of the towed vehicle is in contact with a corresponding surface 12B of the fixed plate 12 of the towing vehicle. In other words, the two devices abut against each other. In this position, the geared motor 13 is actuated, which advances the locking plate 16. As explained with reference to FIG. 1C, the control surfaces 16A placed internally with respect to the locking plate 16 urge the members of FIG. hooking 15 by their second control surface 15B so that they pivot about their pivot axis A2. The hooks 15A of the hooking members 15 then trap the locking pins 4 fixedly placed below the hinged pivoting plate 5 of the towed vehicle. The whole is thus both positioned and locked. The reverse operations allow the unlocking of the assembly and, by a withdrawal of the locking plate 16 and a distance respectively of the two towed vehicles and tractor, it is proceeded to the separation of the latter. Referring to Figure 3, the attachment operation by a towed vehicle on a towing vehicle is facilitated by the use of a jockey wheel 8 pivotally mounted about a third axis A3, horizontal when the towing vehicle is horizontal and can therefore touch the ground 9 to adjust the height of the rear assembly 10 of the towing vehicle relative to the front assembly 1 of the towed vehicle. Once fastening performed as described above, it is found that the locking plate 16 has been actuated and a plug 7, for example of the towed vehicle, has entered a corresponding socket 27 of the towing vehicle and secured to the locking plate. This was done together with the joining operation of the two sets as described above. Indeed, the male plug 7 of the towing vehicle is placed on the articulated plate 5 and will be aligned 11 automatically with the socket 27 placed on the rear fixed base 10 of the towing vehicle. A jockey wheel connecting rod 6 allows the introduction and removal of the jockey wheel 8, in a controlled manner. The socket is secured to the movable plate 16 of the towing vehicle to be moved together therewith. In addition, the connecting rod 16 of the jockey wheel 8 can be secured to the movable stage of the towing vehicle so that the jockey wheel can be raised together with the locking of the hitch. FIGS. 4A, 4B and 4C show in a more detailed and clear manner the operation of the fastening members 15 and of their locking and unlocking. With reference to FIG. 4A, the locking plate 16 is in the intermediate position, that is to say that these control surfaces 16A are almost between the two external surfaces 15B and 15C of the locking members 15. These are represented in position hung around latching pins 4. The male plug 7 integral with the locking plate 16 is spaced from the socket 27 integral with the hinged plate 5 shown in phantom.
With reference to FIG. 4B, the locking members 15 are always in the hooked position. On the other hand, the locking plate 16 has been advanced and the control surfaces 16A of the latter have progressed along the first external surface 15B of the locking members 15. As a result, the latter can no longer pivot about their axis of rotation. 12 rotation and are locked in the hooked position. At the same time, the plug 7 has been advanced by the locking plate 16A and is engaged with the socket 27 of the articulated plate 5.
Referring to 4C, the locking plate 16A has been fully retracted and the control surfaces 16A have moved along the second outer surfaces 15C of the locking members 15. As a result, the latter have pivoted about their axis and are in position spaced relative to the attachment pegs 4, that is to say in the unlocked position. At the same time, the plug 7 has been disconnected and moved away from the socket 27.
Intended application The application is intended for the constitution of "single-channel" trains of vehicles such as passenger cars and whose impasto E is known. To make it possible to equip such a coupling with the single-seater capacity, it is proposed to comply with the following formula L1 + L2 = E where L1 is the length of the rear drawbar of a towing vehicle or of order L and / where L2 is the front linkage length of the towed or N + 1 vehicle.
Such a vehicle train can be formed at the initiative of drivers, without having to get off their vehicles.
