Société par Actions Simplifiée known as: RENAULT s.a.s Hydraulic steering system, especially for automatic vehicle transmission. Invention of: BREMAUD Jean DEROME Antoine OLEJNICZAK Fabrice Hydraulic steering system, especially for automatic vehicle transmission. The invention relates to the control of automatic gearboxes with discrete ratios, the different ratios are obtained by clamping by hydraulic means, one or more clutches or brakes, constituting as many hydraulic receivers for speed control. More specifically, the invention relates to the control of the pressure rise of the receiver which is tightened during a passage of speed. Such piloting devices are described for example in the European patent application EP 0 564 363 in the name of the Applicant, where two sequential solenoid valves are associated with the same hydraulic receiver, and a flow absorber to control the progressiveness of the clamping of the receiver. During changes or variations of a vehicle range, it may be necessary to integrate a progressivity function that was not planned during the initial development. To an existing sequence solenoid valve, it is then possible to add a second solenoid valve intended to manage the progressivity. It will be necessary to provide electrical connections and control software dedicated to the second solenoid valve. If the operation of the two solenoid valves can be made synchronous, one can also consider developing a new solenoid valve sequence, grouping on the same drawer the hydraulic connections of the two previous solenoid valves. The new drawer would be longer, possibly incompatible with the size allowed for the device, and require a more precise machining, so much more expensive, a short drawer.
The aim of the invention is to propose a control device which makes it possible to reduce the costs of developing new systems, especially during the prototyping stage of this system, to keep the new system an external footprint similar to the system of which it is derived, which avoids reorganizations and / or modifications of equipment surrounding the device. The invention also aims to limit the number of electrical connections of the system. The invention must thus save both the development of the hydraulic system itself, and the development of the vehicle engine as a whole. The invention relates to a hydraulic system, comprising two drawers each sliding in a cylindrical bore housing. The drawers and the housings are provided with annular grooves adapted, depending on the position of the drawers, to communicate one or more networks of fluid circulating at one or more working pressures, with at least one member controlled under pressure. Two first ends of each drawer housing are interconnected by a first pipe, and subjected to a same substantially constant return fluid pressure. The two second ends of each drawer are interconnected by a distribution pipe imposing them the same variable control pressure. The variable control pressure is determined on the one hand by a feed rate of fluid at a pressure higher than the return pressure, opening into the distribution pipe, and on the other hand by a leakage flow at through a single electromagnetic device disposed at the end of one of the two drawer housings, and communicating with the distribution pipe. The electromagnetic device may include a ball that can be held on a leakage port by an electromagnet. Preferably, the feed rate and the leakage rate are calculated to obtain instantaneously, depending on the opening or closing of the electromagnetic device, a pressure lower than the return pressure, or a pressure greater than the pressure. recall. The return pressure may be substantially between 1 and 2 bar and the pilot pressure can oscillate between a first low value substantially between 0 and 1 bar, and a second high value substantially between 2 and 3 bar.
One of the pressure-controlled members may be a clutch receiver or a brake receiver of an automatic transmission of a motor vehicle. One of the working pressures can be a variable pressure.
One of the pressure-controlled members may also be a flow absorber, capable of developing a gradual rise or fall in pressure of the fluid supplying it, in response to a given feed rate. In a preferred embodiment, at least one annular groove associated with a spool communicates directly with a clutch receiver or a brake receiver of the automatic gearbox, annular grooves associated with each spool communicate directly with a flow absorber. and grooves associated with each drawer allow a flow of fluid directly from one of the drawers to the other drawer. By direct communication between a groove and a hydraulic member means here a communication of a groove of a drawer or a groove of the drawer housing, to the hydraulic member (possibly another drawer), through a pipe, the communication does not pass through another drawer device or another hydraulic device. According to another aspect, the invention relates to an automatic gearbox of a motor vehicle, equipped with a hydraulic system according to one of the preceding claims.
Other objects, features and advantages of the invention will become apparent on reading the following description, given by way of non-limiting example, and with reference to the appended drawings, in which: FIG. 1 is a diagrammatic view of a hydraulic steering system according to the invention; - Figure 2 is another schematic view of the hydraulic control system of Figure 2, in a different configuration.
In Figures 1 and 2, the straight arrows symbolize the direction of flow of a hydraulic fluid. As illustrated in FIG. 1, a hydraulic piloting system 1 comprises a first hydraulic drawer device 2, a second hydraulic drawer device 3, and a flow absorber 4. This control system 1 also comprises a receiver 8 an automatic transmission of a motor vehicle (not shown), said receiver can be for example a clutch receiver or a brake receiver of the gearbox. The hydraulic devices with drawers 2 and 3 respectively comprise a cylindrical housing 9a and 9b provided with annular grooves in which slides a hydraulic slide 10a, respectively 10b, also provided with annular grooves. Each of the drawers 10a and 10b is subjected to one of these ends 15a, 15b to a restoring pressure P2 imposed by a fluid arriving via a pipe 6. A pipe 7 brings a hydraulic fluid which arrives at a control pressure P 1 upstream of a nozzle 40, then flows downstream of the nozzle 40 at a pilot pressure PP towards the two ends 16a and 16b of the slide, by two branches 7a and 7b of the pipe 7. The sections of the pipes 7a and 7b are sufficient for the pressures to balance between the two ends 16a and 16b of the two drawers. The second ends 16a and 16b of the two drawers are therefore subjected to the pilot pressure PP common to the two drawers. The pressure at the end 16a of the slide 10a, and, consequently, the pressure at the end 16b of the slide 10b, can be put to the tarpaulin by an electromagnetic device 11 installed at the end of the housing 9a. The electromagnetic leakage device 11 conventionally comprises an electromagnet 12 making it possible to attract a ball 13 so that this ball closes a leakage orifice 14. The piloting pressure PP may thus vary rapidly between a zero pressure, that is to say the pressure of the fluid flowing to the sheet when the ball 13 is not pressed against the leakage orifice 14, and the control pressure P 1 which is established in the lines 7a and 7b by flow the fluid through the nozzle 40 when the ball 13 is pressed against the leakage orifice 14. The passage from the zero pressure to the control pressure P1 is instantaneous, that is to say that it takes place in a time much lower than that allowed to tighten or loosen a receiver. It can for example be performed in a time less than one-tenth of a second. The pressure P1, for example 3 bar, is greater than the pressure P2, for example 1.75 bar. The cylindrical housing 9a is provided with annular grooves 18, 19 and 20. The cylindrical housing 9b is provided with annular grooves 21, 22, 23 and 24. We designate by annular groove a cylindrical body, a portion of a ring or a ring included in the overall cylindrical volume of this body, flush with its outer or inner surface, and from which the material is cylindrical body is absent. The drawer 10a is provided with an annular groove 25 which, in the high or low positions of the drawer, can bring into communication the grooves 18 and 19 or the grooves 19 and 20 of the housing 9a. The drawer 10b is provided with annular grooves 26 and 27. In the left position of the drawer illustrated in the figure, the groove 26 connects the grooves 22 and 23 of the housing 9b.
The annular grooves of the housings 9a and 9b can communicate with pipes supplying fluid under pressure, for example with a pipe 5 bringing fluid to a working pressure P3 to the annular groove 20 of the housing 9a. The annular grooves of the two housings may also communicate with pipes, for example a pipe 30, interconnecting the two housings 9a and 9b, or with pipes connecting one of the housings, either with the flow absorber 4, or with the Transmission receiver 8. Finally, some of the annular grooves, for example the grooves 18 or 24, can be used to cover the hydraulic fluid that passes through it, for example through a tarpaulin port 31. or 32. The pipe 30, depending on the position of the slide 10a, can be at the working pressure P3 or be on the contrary put to the tarpaulin. Note that this pipe 30 can communicate with the receiver 8, when the slider 10b is in the "right" position, simultaneously by a wide pipe 35 and a pipe 34 provided with a nozzle 33. When the slider 10b is in position " left ", it communicates with the receiver only through the pipe 34 provided with the nozzle 33. It can therefore, through the pipe 35, perform a pressurization or on the contrary an almost instantaneous covering of the receiver 8, or on the contrary, through the pipe 34 isolated from the pipe 35, gradually raising or lowering the pressure of the receiver 38.
The two drawers 10a and 10b move simultaneously between their two end positions within their respective housings 9a and 9b. In FIG. 1, the ball 13 is pressed against the leakage orifice 14. The slide 10a is therefore in the low position, putting the pipe 5 into communication with the pipe 30. The slide 15b is in the left-hand position, in communication the pipe 35 and a pipe 41 connecting the groove 24 of the housing 9b to a variable volume chamber 43 of the flow absorber 4. The chamber 43 is bounded on one side by a piston 42 of the flow absorber 4 The piston 42 is supported on the opposite side of the chamber, on a helical spring 44. As a result, the pressure inside the chamber 43 varies linearly with the volume thereof. In the configuration described in Figure 1, the fluid arriving at the working pressure P3 through the pipe 5 then passes through the pipe 30, then arrives through the groove 21 and the pipe 34 to the nozzle 33. Upstream of the nozzle 33 , the pressure is equal to the working pressure P3. Downstream of the nozzle 34 is established an actuating pressure PR which is the pressure of the fluid being distributed between a chamber 47 defined at the rear of a control element 46 of the receiver 8, the chamber 43 of the absorber 4, and the pipes 35 and 41. By the construction of the flow absorber 4, this PR pressure applied to the receiver 8 will therefore gradually increase as the flow of fluid through the nozzle 34 , until possibly reaching the working pressure P3.
Figure 2 shows the hydraulic control system of Figure 1 in a configuration where the leakage orifice 14 is open. The slide 10a is brought by the pressure P2 in the up position, putting the pipe 30 into communication with the tarpaulin via the tarpaulin opening 31. The slide 10b is brought by the pressure P2 to the right-hand position. placing the pipe 41 in communication with the chamber 43 with the tarpaulin via the tarpaulin port 32. In this position, the slider 10b also communicates the chamber 47 of the receiver 8 through the and in this configuration, the receiver 8 is thus instantly found at a pressure PR of zero actuation, while the working pressure P3 brought by the pipe 5 is evacuated by the rear of the piston 42 of the flow absorber 4, by a tarp opening 45, and brings the volume of the chamber 43 to zero. The pressure of the fluid evacuating from the rear of the piston 42 is then greater than that of the fluid in the chamber 43, itself in communication with the tarp opening 32. The invention is not limited to the embodiment described, and may be subject to many variants. In particular, the connections to the flow absorber can be arranged so as to obtain, for example, instant clamping of the receiver, and progressive loosening. The system may not have a flow absorber, or may have more than one. The system can also be connected to several receivers, and / or fed by several fluid networks each distributing a different pressure. Each of the working pressures can be constant or variable. It is also possible to envisage variants of the invention where more than two drawers would thus be controlled by a single electromagnetically closed leakage orifice. The control device according to the invention makes it possible to use a drawer geometry already proven on a previous engine for a new motor: it then makes it possible to save on the prototyping costs of the device and on the costs of developing the engine in general. . This device can also be used with new geometries of drawers, to meet space constraints not met with a solenoid valve sequence with a single drawer, and / or to limit the number of electrical connections and electromagnetic devices.
