Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a string of packaging bags formed of two walls. An example of application of such bags is the packaging of food products, for example frozen.
EP-B-0 205 852 and WO-A-94/19250 disclose facilities and methods for manufacturing plastic packaging bags with complementary opening and closing profiles. According to these documents, the bags are manufactured in the form of a string of juxtaposed sachets, the general direction of the latter (that is to say that which separates the top of the bottom of the bag) being perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the rosary. The bags are joined at their apex by a common longitudinal band - we speak of suspension band - which allows them to move together from station to station for the implementation of different operations. The present invention is precisely to improve such a string of bags. The present invention therefore relates to a string of packaging bags formed of two walls, these bags being: - delimited by longitudinal edges said upper and lower, and transverse edges, - individualized two by two, at least partially, by a separation parallel to said transverse edges, - all integral, by their upper edge, two longitudinal strips 25, said suspension, themselves secured respectively to a corresponding wall, the walls being provided in the vicinity of one of the edges longitudinal and parallel thereto, complementary closure profiles. According to the invention, this string is characterized by the fact that each bag comprises a slider for actuating said profiles at the opening and closing, engaged thereon.

The longitudinal edge provided with profiles and a slider is the lower edge, that is to say the one lying opposite the suspension strips; Said walls are formed of a sheet folded on itself to form a bellows profile in the form of "M", said sections being integral with the faces facing said bellows; said profiles are integral with said walls; said sections constitute distinct elements of the walls, fixed thereto. Another aspect of the invention relates to a method of manufacturing a string as defined in the last feature above. In one embodiment of this method, the profiles are first fixed on said walls and the cursor is engaged on these sections. In an alternative embodiment, said profiles are fixed on said walls at the same time as the cursor is engaged thereon. In another variant embodiment, said slider is first engaged on said profiles and these profiles are then fastened to said walls. Other features and advantages of the present invention will appear on reading the following description of a preferred embodiment. This description will be made with reference to the accompanying drawings in which: - Figure 1 is a partial front view of a string of bags according to the invention; FIG. 2 is a cross-sectional view of a bag and a portion of the "suspension band" constituting the string of the invention.
With the simple aim of simplifying the figures, only one bag 2 of a strand 1 has been integrally represented in FIG. 1, its two neighbors, that is to say the pouches which surround it, being represented only in FIG. part.
The arrow f represents the longitudinal direction of the rosary. The bags 2 which constitute it, therefore extend transversely and have an orientation generally perpendicular to this longitudinal direction. These are bags 2 made of plastic, consisting of two walls 20 and 21 facing each other. These two walls can be obtained from a single film returned and welded along its two parallel transverse edges. In another embodiment, these two walls may consist of two separate sheets, i.e. two separate entities, assembled on three of their sides. The bags are here formed from a single film turned on itself, this fold being shaped to form a bell-shaped profile 24 in the shape of "M", having two folds or faces 25 and 26 in view, connected by a folding line 27. Preferably and as will be explained later, this line 27 is preferably weakened mechanically. It consists for example of a zone with pre-cut sections, easy to open. It will be noted that between the facing faces 25 and 26 of the bellows profile 24 are provided complementary closure and opening profiles bearing the reference 5. These are profiles of known structure, for example with a male member or female, or with hooks or the like. These sections 5 come for example from a material with the walls 20 and 21, which means that they are manufactured at the same time as the sheet which constitutes these walls. However, in another embodiment, these sections 5 constitute distinct elements of the walls 20 and 21, which are fixed thereto. A known method of attachment such as welding is quite suitable.
Within the strand 1, the bags 2 are individualized two by two, at least partially, by a separation 3 parallel to their transverse edges 29. By the expression "at least partially", it is understood that it can be either of a complete separation, or of a partial separation, of the zones of matter then uniting the sachets two by two. Said separation is implemented so as to cut the material of the walls 20 and 21 and to join their free edges facing by a weld. Thus, the bags are delimited by two longitudinal edges, one said "upper" 22 and the other "lower" 23, as well as by transverse edges 29. In the continuity of the separation 3 extends a zone of wide welding 31, which opens on a generally circular opening 32, obtained for example by punching. The upper edges 22 of the bags "frame" an opening O and are integral with two longitudinal strips 4 and 4 ', called "suspension". One and the same pair of strips 4 and 4 'is used for all the sachets of the rosary. In the present case, in the drawing of FIG. 2, it can be seen that the strips 4 and 4 'are respectively fixed to the walls 20 and 21 by weld zones in the form of borders 40 and 41. At their apex, the strips 4 and 4 'are provided with a bead of material 42, 42' to facilitate their suspension to gripping means and displacement in the direction of the arrow f. In additional embodiments, the strips 4 and 4 'are made in one piece with the sheet which constitutes the walls 20 and 21. The same is true for the beads 42 and 42' which can be extruded at the same time as the corresponding bands. They may also be formed by winding on itself one edge of each strip and fusing that portion. As shown in Figure 1, a slider 6 for actuating the profiles 5 to the opening and closing, of known type, is engaged thereon. When the manufacture of these bags is completed, it may be envisaged to fill them by the opening O which borders the two upper edges 22, as shown in Figure 2. To facilitate this filling, it may be envisaged to proceed to 5 alternating cuts 28 and 28 'of the walls 20 and 21. To close the bags, a weld line is produced, parallel to and below the cutouts 28 and 28' and welds 31, combined with a cut. Individual bags are thus recovered.
To access the contents of a bag 2, it is sufficient to actuate the slider 6 to actuate the sections 5 at the opening and break the fold line 27 weakened mechanically. When the profiles 5 constitute distinct elements of the walls 20 and 21, it is conceivable to first fix the profiles thereon and then to engage a slider 6 thereon. But we can also consider setting the profiles on the walls, at the same time that the cursor is placed on them or to fix the cursor on the profiles, and then fix them on the walls.
