Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a motor vehicle seat element, an assembly and a seat comprising the seat element. More particularly, the invention relates to a vehicle seat element (for example a seat back) comprising a frame, a rigid panel and a padding covered with a coating. The known seat elements are generally complex to make and assemble, so that they are relatively expensive. The present invention is intended in particular to improve the seat elements, in particular to reduce the cost. For this purpose, according to the invention, the padding is fixed on the rigid panel and the rigid panel and the padding covered with the coating form a module removably attached to the frame. Thus, the seat member can be easily assembled and the module can be easily changed in case of wear or to change the aesthetics of the seat. It will be understood by module, the assembly consists of different elements connected together so as to form a unitary assembly. According to another characteristic according to the invention, preferably the armature comprises a tubular element and the rigid panel has a groove in which the tubular element is closely received. Thus, the armature is simple and the module can be easily attached to the armature and held there securely. According to a complementary characteristic according to the invention, preferably the tubular element has a U-shape and the groove of the rigid plate has a corresponding U-shape. Such a shape is particularly adapted to provide good cooperation between the groove of the rigid panel and the tubular member. According to a still complementary feature, preferably the tubular element generally has a shape consisting of inverted U superimposed with the upper U of smaller dimension, and the groove of the rigid panel has a corresponding shape. Thus, the headrest can be easily integrated into the folder. According to another characteristic, in accordance with the invention, the seat element preferably has a fastening zone extending opposite the groove and in which the fastening zone the padding is fixed to the rigid panel. Fixing the padding to the rigid panel near the groove improves the hold of the padding. According to a characteristic according to the invention, preferably the seat element comprises a plurality of fastening elements fixed to the rigid panel and carried by a support, said support being secured to the padding and connecting the fastening elements to each other. . The fixing of the padding and the robustness of the seat element are thus improved. According to a complementary feature to further enhance the robustness of the seat member, the support is preferably embedded in the padding. According to another characteristic according to the invention, preferably the seat element further comprises at least one clip held on the rigid panel and retaining the armature relative to the rigid panel.
Thus, the module is effectively retained on the frame and can be easily released. The invention furthermore relates to an assembly comprising a seat element as mentioned above wherein said module constitutes a first module, the assembly comprising a second module, said second module also comprising a rigid panel and a padding and being adapted to be fixed on the armature instead of the first module, the coating of the second module being different from the coating of the first module. Thus, the user can change the appearance of the seat by replacing the first module by the second module. The invention further relates to a seat comprising at least one seat element as mentioned above. The invention further relates to a method for making a seat element. According to the invention, the method comprises the following steps: - making a reinforcement, a rigid panel and a padding covered with a coating, - fixing the padding on the rigid panel in order to obtain a module, - fix the module formed by the padding covered with the coating and the rigid panel on the frame. Other features and advantages of the present invention will become apparent from the following detailed description, with reference to the accompanying drawings in which: - Figure 1 shows in perspective a seat according to the invention comprising a seat and a back; - Figure 2 shows the folder of Figure 1 exploded perspective, following the arrow marked II in Figure 1; 4 - Figure 3 shows the exploded perspective file, following the arrow marked III in Figure 1; FIG. 4 represents the sectional file along the line marked IV-IV in FIG. 1, during a first assembly step; - Figure 5 shows the folder according to Figure 4, during a second assembly step; - Figure 6 shows the folder according to Figure 4, after assembly. FIG. 1 illustrates a seat 1 comprising a seat 4 and a backrest 2. As illustrated in greater detail in FIGS. 2 and 3, the backrest 2 essentially comprises a frame 6, a rigid panel 8 and a mattress pad 12 covered with 14. The armature 6 is constituted by a tubular element, preferably a metal element, generally having a substantially U-shaped inverted shape (top-bottom) comprising two branches 6b, 6c extending substantially in parallel and a base 6a. extending transversely between the two branches 6b, 6c. In the illustrated embodiment, an inverted U-shaped but smaller-sized protrusion is grafted onto the base 6a. This protrusion comprises a base 6d and two branches 25e, 6f. The base 6d connects one end of the two branches 6e, 6f extending substantially parallel, while their other end is connected to the base 6a. The protrusion is optional and intended to form a headrest integrated in the backrest 2. The rigid panel 8 constitutes a shell having in a central portion a cavity 28 open towards the front, a cavity 16 extending around the cavity 28 and fixing holes 24. The groove 16 is open towards the rear. It has a shape corresponding to the shape of the frame 6 to receive it closely. The groove 16 therefore has generally in the illustrated embodiment a form consisting of two inverted U superposed, with the U of smaller size. The groove 16 thus comprises two secondary branches extending substantially parallel to 16e, 16f, a secondary base 16d connecting the two secondary branches 16e, 16f, two main ledges 16b, 16c extending substantially parallel to the secondary branches 16e, 16f, and a two-part main base 16a respectively connecting the secondary branches 16e, 16f to the main branches 16b, 16c. The fixing holes 24 of the rigid panel 8 are arranged facing and in the immediate vicinity of the groove 16. The padding 12 has a front face 12a covered with the coating 14 and a rear face 12b facing the rigid panel 8. It has a main portion 11 and a peripheral portion 13 extending around the central portion 11. The main portion 11 is relatively thick, preferably 2 to 10 cm, and is substantially disposed in the cavity 28 of the rigid panel 8. The peripheral portion 13 extends around the main portion 11 and has a smaller thickness, of the order of 5mm to 3cm. This peripheral portion 13 corresponds to an attachment zone 20 of the element 2, in which the fixing holes 24 of the rigid panel 8 are also arranged. In this fastening zone 20, a one-piece support 22 is in the form of a plate carries a plurality of fasteners constituted by staples 18, in the illustrated embodiment. It extends facing the frame 6 and the periphery of the padding 12, thus forming a structural frame. The support 22 generally has a shape corresponding to that of the reinforcement 6 and the groove 16. It is embedded in the padding 12, in order to obtain good cohesion with the padding 12.
On obtient ainsi l'élément de siège 2.Preferably, the rigid panel 8 is made of plastic material, such as polypropylene (PP), acrylonitrile butene styrene (ABS) or the like. The padding 12 is preferably made of foam, especially pressed polyurethane foam (PU) and could also be made of another material, for example expanded polypropylene. As illustrated in FIG. 4, after having made, on the one hand, the rigid panel 8 and, on the other hand, the padding 12 covered with the covering 14 and incorporating the staples 18, the padding 12 is brought with the central part 11 facing each other. of the cavity 28 of the rigid panel 8. Then, the rigid panel 8 and the padding 12 are brought closer to one another until the staples 18 are inserted into the fixing holes 24, in order to fix the padding 12 on the rigid panel 8. A block module 10 is thus obtained. As illustrated in FIG. 5, the module 10 is then approached from the frame 6, in order to insert the frame 6 into the peripheral groove 16. Tel 6, the reinforcement 6 is then firmly fastened to the bottom of the groove 16 by means of clips 26 held on the rigid panel 8, or the like. This gives the seat element 2.
The module 10 can, if necessary, be separated from the armature 6 by undoing the clips 26 and moving the module 10 forwards with respect to the structure 6. Another module, similar to the module 10, can then be fixed on the armature 6 in a similar manner to that described in relation to Figure 5 for the module 10. This new module can be distinguished from the module 10 in particular by its coating 14. The outer appearance of the seat 1 is found then modified.
