Abstract

The device has a valve assembly (E) provided with an integrated thermal regulator, such that the hot water only leaves from a valve if the hot water is at required temperature and the hot water is redirected towards a cold water circuit if the hot water is not at required temperature. A restrictor only makes the water passing through a small net towards an exit of the valve outlet to provide information taken from its request, where circulation of the hot water is favored by a circulator (C) or any other equivalent system.

Description

-1 - When using a faucet, if the temperature of the water does not correspond to the need, the water is generally evacuated to the sewer. This way of doing so each year generates a consumption of several million liters of water that could be avoided.

Currently, no public system can recycle this water, apart from the recovery of "dirty water". The only similar application is used in industry, it is managed by a complex electronic system. So we will develop a principle to no longer send cold water from the hot water circuit to the sewer, but to recycle it into the internal water network.

In a distribution circuit similar to FIG. 1, a circulator: (C) 4 * 1) is placed at the outlet of the hot water tank 4 * 2), it can be driven, or in continuous operation, and for the purpose of promoting the circulation of water hot compared to that of cold water. Its operation may be subject to the use of the hot water circuit, in which case it may be in operation for the duration of this use, or timed for a fixed period which may be calculated according to the network. This information may possibly be given to the system C via a device (d) 4 * 3), measuring the flow of the liquid, or any other system making it possible to obtain such information. A valve assembly (E) with a 4 * 3 calorstat will only allow the water to exit to the desired temperature (* 4) when the hot water will wait for the preset operating temperature. In the opposite case, the cold and hot water circuits are directly connected to each other. Thus looped, the circuit returns the water of the hot circuit in the cold circuit until the desired temperature is obtained. The installation of a non-return valve (a) 4 * 3) can be considered not to "pollute" the cold water system. 2 configurations are possible for the set (E) according to whether the function is directly integrated in the tap see FIG. 1, or not FIG. 2 & 3. In the case of an integrated system (FIG 1), the opening of the mixer (M) 4 * 5) will control a calorstat (T) 4 * 3), which will keep the system in the intermediate position (I) as long as the preset temperature is not reached: this position connects the cold water and hot water circuits. Optional piloting (p ') will only operate the system if the hot water in the circuit is opened. The throttle (e) 4 * 6), optional allows a slight flow of water, which gives the user information on the opening of the circuit. In its position (N), at the normal operating temperature of the hot water, the cold water and hot water circuits are normally connected to the mixer (M). In the rest position (R), when the valve is not actuated, all circuits are closed. In the case of a non-integrated system, FIG. 3 & 4, the valve assembly (E) consists of a valve (R) 4 * 5) and an additional system which, when the valve opens, will control a heat pump (T) 4 * 3), which will keep the system in position 2 until the preset temperature is reached: this position connects the cold water and hot water circuits. Optional piloting (p ') will only operate the system if the hot water in the circuit is opened. In FIG. 3, the throttle (e) 4 * 6), optional allows a slight flow of water, which gives the user information on the opening of the circuit. In its position (1), tap closed, or the normal operating temperature of hot water, the cold water and hot water circuits are normally connected to the tap (R). 15 * 1) Or equivalent system, to obtain a sufficient flow (* 2) Or any other distribution system * 3) Or any other equivalent system (* 4) mixture of cold water and hot water * 5) Mixing device or other equivalent system (* 6): optional device or equivalent 20 Such a system makes it possible to recycle water from the hot circuit which is not at the temperature desired by the user. A double economy, made both on the recovery of water that is recycled in the circuit, but also on returning to the circuit water that may be at a higher temperature than that which would happen in the food of the cold water circuit, thus limiting the energy consumption for the heating of cold water. Such a system consists of simple components, not requiring complex electronics and can easily be installed on existing circuits without modification of the circuit except the faucets and possibly at the outlet of the hot water distribution system. This application can be implemented on any hot water distribution network for industrial applications or for individuals. But also for other distribution device of any liquid that must be supplied at a temperature different from that of the supply. By analogy this system can be adapted for a distribution of colder liquid from that supplied.
