Abstract
La présente invention concerne un alliage de fonderie d'aluminium doté de propriétés mécaniques améliorées par la présence de Cr.The present invention relates to an aluminum casting alloy with improved mechanical properties by the presence of Cr.
Description
The present invention relates to aluminum foundry alloys, particularly for vehicle applications. For this purpose, in general, sub-eutectic Al alloys having an Si content of between 7 and 12% by weight are used. The alloy AlSillMg, in low-pressure shell casting, AlSi7Mg alloy is often used in gravity-shell casting.
The AlSiMg alloys, which are poor in Si, which are characterized, as opposed to the current AlSi foundry alloys, by significantly improved mechanical properties, are known from the patent WO 2007/025528 A2. From this state of the art, the fundamental object of the invention is to improve the alloys of Al poor in Si in terms of their mechanical properties. According to the invention, this is achieved by means of an Al casting alloy which contains at least five of the components listed below: Si: 2.5 to 3.3, preferably 2.7 to 3 , 1% by weight Mg: 0.2 to 0.7, preferably 0.3 to 0.6% by weight Fe: <0.18, preferably 0.05 to 0.16% by weight Mn: <0.5, preferably from 0.05 to 0.4% by weight Ti: <0.1, preferably from 0.01 to 0.08% by weight Sr: <0.03, preferably, from 0.01 to 0.03% by weight various: <0.1% by weight and further Cr, in an amount increasing the strength of the alloy as an additional alloy component, all of which being completed, each time, to 100% by weight using Al. According to the invention, this is achieved by means of an Al casting alloy which contains at least five of the constituents listed below: Si: 2.5 to 3.3, preferably 2.7 to 3 1 wt.% Mg: 0.2 to 0.7, preferably 0.3 to 0.6 wt. Fe: <0.18, preferably 0.05 to 0.16 wt. <0.5, preferably from 0.05 to 0.4 by weight Ti: <0.1, preferably from 0.01 to 0.08 by weight Sr: <0.03, preferably from 0 0.1 to 0.03 by weight Cr: 0.3 to 1.3, preferably 0.4 to 1.0, in particular, preferably 0.5 to 0.8% by weight, various: <0.1% by weight and this with complement, each time, to 100% by weight using Al. An Al casting alloy of this type is, compared to the state of the art, more resistant, more tenacious and more ductile. The preferred alloy addition of Cr in the order of magnitude gives a further significant improvement in the mechanical properties, which is already noticeable in the as-cast state, especially after solution annealing and, if necessary, after hardening by precipitation. In particular, it has been found that by adding chromium additions of this kind, undesired iron precipitation, already in the raw state of casting, can be converted to a more favorable morphology. For applications for chassis / undercarriages, especially for parts carrying the wheels, this results in higher overall mechanical characteristics. The alloys according to the invention may contain impurities conditioned by the manufacturing process, for example, Pb, Ni, Zn etc., as is generally known to those skilled in the art. An advantageous configuration of the invention provides that the alloy contains, as additional alloying component, in addition, CuNi through simultaneous alloying. It has been found that additions of copper or nickel alone do not lead to any significant improvement in mechanical properties. The simultaneous alloying addition of copper and nickel, however, opens up new possibilities for the application of the alloy, in particular in the field outside the undercarriage sector for parts stressed in terms of temperature, preferably for applications to parts close to the engine. The alloys according to the invention have, compared to the known Al foundry alloys, an improved resistance-expansion ratio. As a method for manufacturing workpieces, spare parts or components, for example, in particular for undercarriages of heavy-duty vehicles of foundry alloy according to the invention is in principle suitable for the casting process in mold permanent. Due to the very good mechanical properties in the case of highly stressed workpieces, spare parts or components, in particular, as manufacturing processes, weight casting and low pressure shell casting.
Particularly in the case of pressure assisted casting processes, for example, the low-pressure casting process (CPC process), the semi-solid casting process as well as other pressure-assisted casting processes such as casting 'Squeeze-Casting', casting forging (Cobapress) automated low-pressure sand casting in molding plants, it results from the good casting structure of better mechanical properties from a mechanical point of view. The counter pressure casting process (CPC process) is particularly preferred here. It may further be advantageous for the alloy to be fine-grained. To this end, the so-called grain refining agents are added to the alloy. Grain refining is a treatment of the melt, since under the term "grain refining" is meant an artificial increase in the number of (crystal) seeds in the melt, which is caused by by the introduction and distribution of foreign germs. Thus, in particular, improved feed capacity is achieved through better mass feeding, mold filling capacity and improved flow, decreased susceptibility to pore formation and tendency to grow. to the formation of hot cracks and increased ductility as well as a better surface texture of the foundry alloy. In order to obtain the above-mentioned advantages and even improve them, it is advantageous to subject the castings to a heat treatment, in particular with the following parameters: Setting annealing 490 at 540 ° C. for a duration of 1 hour in solution at 10 ° C. hours Income 150 to 200 ° C for a period of 1 hour to 10 hours For some applications, however, it may also be advantageous to simply perform a one-stage income processing, generally known as, for example, treatment T4, T5 or O. An increase in the resistance of the casting pieces can be achieved in an advantageous manner by quenching the still hot casting pieces in the water instead of a slower cooling at 'air. In addition to the advantages already mentioned that the parts made of the alloy according to the invention present, is added the fact that, due to the missing alloy constituents Cu and Zn, the corrosion resistance is significantly increased. The product is also relatively inexpensive, because no alloy additive is used which makes the latter more expensive, such as, for example, SE metals, because the usual treatment of the melt can be used and because no special effort to separate the traffic is required. It is also preferable, for cost reasons, to use no Ag as an alloying constituent.
Also present is a remarkable strength-expansion ratio for first-class casting ability. The casting ability makes it possible to cast a casting piece free from large defects, known as sinkholes, on the one hand, the microstructure being influenced, on the other hand, positively so that the number internal cuts, which decrease the expansion at break, are kept as low as possible.
The filling power of the molds also improves in the case of the presence according to the invention of Cr. The invention furthermore relates to the use of Al casting alloys according to any of the preceding claims for workpieces, spare parts or parts for, for example, rolling gear of heavy goods vehicles. The alloy according to the invention has proved particularly suitable, in particular, for more highly stressed components, such as wheel carriers or articulating bearings. As a preferred method for producing more highly stressed components of this type, the low pressure-pressure casting method (CPC process) is used.
EXAMPLE For the purpose of determining the mechanical properties of the AlSi 3 Mg 0.6 6 Cr 0.7 alloy, a so-called "French pull rod" is cast according to DIN 50125 in what is known as the "French shell". "in the context of the gravitational casting process. Thereafter, a heat treatment T6 is carried out, the casting attack and the weight being separated only after the heat treatment, to counter any possible sample delay. The mechanical properties of tensile strength RM, stretching limit Rp0,2 and expansion at break A5 are determined in accordance with DIN 10002.
Base 285,5 203,0 8,5 AlSi3Mg0,6 Base+Cr 315,2 215,4 10,8 A1Si3Mg0,6Cr0,7 After a T6 heat treatment, an increase in the expansion at break of 3 which occurs in parallel with an increase in tensile strength of about 37 MPa can be seen. In this case, the stretching limit has a constant high level. Base 285.5 203.0 8.5 AlSi3Mg0.6 Base + Cr 315.2 215.4 10.8 A1Si3Mg0.6Cr0.7
