Abstract

The system (1) has supply and discharge pipes (6, 14) connected to an atmospheric air inlet (5) and an exhaust (15), respectively, and an internal combustion heat engine (2) e.g. oil engine, with inlet and outlet valves (22, 23) placed at an inlet and an outlet of a combustion chamber (8), respectively. The chamber has a piston (19) displaced in a cylinder (17). A three-way switching valve (7) connects the supply/discharge pipe, the chamber and a pressurized air i.e. gas, storage reservoir (3), with respect to one another to ensure communication between the pipe, the chamber and the reservoir.
