Abstract

The invention relates to an equipment for coating a strip product (M) by passage in a liquid metal bath (31), that comprises means for controlling the running of the strip (M) between the metal bath (31) and a final quenching bath (35) along a continuous running line defined by a succession of deviation cylinders and including at least three portions, respectively a first portion (T1) at inlet of the metal bath, a second portion at the outlet of the bath (31) in an ascending direction and at least a third descending portion (T3) giving into the final quenching bath (35). According to the invention, the final quenching bath (35) is located above the metal bath (31) so that the entire running line of the strip (M) between the metal bath (31) and the final quenching bath (35) occupies an area over the ground of the same magnitude as that of the metal bath (31).
