Abstract

The device has an open type ring (1) adjusted to a thickness of a little finger of a user, a stabilizer support (2) perpendicular to the ring and a perforation point (3) that is replaced by a blade which cuts an adhesive packaging tape. The point surmounts the stabilizer support by perforating the adhesive packaging tape to provoke automatic tearing of the adhesive packaging tape.

Description

11

The present invention relates to a device for severing packaging adhesive tapes. The cutting of these adhesives is traditionally performed using a device comprising a reel and a cutting blade.

This device has many drawbacks: bulky and bulky, its handling causes significant time loss since it requires the user to transport it everywhere, to deposit it to perform the handling, then resume (s') he did not misplace it!), to load and unload the reel in new or finished rolls. This often leads movers and handlers to use their teeth instead to initiate tearing of ordinary adhesive tapes. In addition, the traditional system is unusable for very strong adhesive tape, fibrous or braided, for example. The device according to the invention eliminates all these disadvantages by rendering the traditional system useless.

I1 has indeed, according to a first feature, a ring, a base and a tip. The open-type ring slips around the user's little finger. Its adjustable diameter makes it possible to adjust it precisely to the thickness of the phalanx that carries it. Perpendicular to the ring, the base, by moving the point of the cutting edge away from the hand, facilitates the action; its profile avoids any snagging with the objects to be packaged. The base also plays a stabilizing role since it presses the finger on both sides of the ring. The tip of the device which surmounts the base, by perforating the adhesive strip, causes its self-sectioning. The device can be worn both in the right hand, the left hand and is therefore suitable for all finger sizes. According to a non-illustrated variant of the device, the perforation tip can be replaced by a blade for cutting the stronger adhesive strips than the ordinary strips. The accompanying drawings illustrate the invention: FIG. 1 represents the device consisting of a ring (1) in the closed position, a base (2) perpendicular to the ring and a piercing tip (3).

-2  Figure 2 shows how the hand of the user (trice) when equipped with the device, and the action of the tip which perforating the adhesive tape (4) causes its self tearing. -2

The device according to the invention is intended for movers, packers and handlers, but may be suitable for individuals. By way of non-limiting example, the device can be sold with each roll of adhesive, by batch of rollers or separately.
