Abstract

The device has a display including a disk (1) for displaying hour, a disk (2) for displaying minutes and a disk (3) for displaying seconds, where the disks are rotated around a central axis (4). Digits are printed on the disks according to a degree where time (5) is read. A cover is formed on the device for covering a quasi totality of the device and permitting a location to be visible where the time is read. A mark is inserted on the device for permitting to read the time.

Description

Currently the device to tell the time whether it is a clock, a clock, a watch or any other device is done in 2 ways: a display with hands or a digital or digital display. The device according to the invention allows to give the time using disks (instead of needles) mounted on a motor powered by an electrical source. This allows to give an original way and totally different from what it was done until then to indicate the time.

In version 1 the device is composed of: a disk that replaces the needles (see Figure 1). Thus we have 3 disks: I for the hours (1), 1 for the minutes (2), 1 for the seconds (3) which rotate about a central axis (4). The numbers are printed so as to give time to one place on the device. Thus if we divide the disks in 360 degrees, in the figure we can read the time at 180 degrees and thus read 6 hours thirty minutes thirty seconds (5). It can therefore be made at least 12 different impressions to read the time because we can give 12 different orientations to the figures. These orientations must be carried out identically on the 3 disks. Conventionally the center disk indicates the seconds, the intermediate one the minutes, and the farthest the hours. This order can be modified. The order of implementation and therefore of reading may be different depending on the engine used, but also by playing on the transparency of the disks. In version 2: - The device is organized as in version 1, but is superimposed on a cover or cover (6) that hides almost the entire device and we keep a notch (7) where it should be read the time (see Figure 2). Thus on this cache can be placed the desired decoration or an advertisement. -2 w- You can also read the time by inserting a tab or marker (8) on the basis of the device (see Figure 3) In version 3: 35 The device is organized as in version 1 or 2 but a disks is the body of the device which makes it is rotated. A device is thus obtained which gives the time which turns on itself either according to the minutes (a complete rotation in 60 minutes), as a function of the seconds (a complete rotation 40 in 60 seconds), or as a function of the hours (a complete rotation in 12 hours). The clock turns on itself. In version 4: The device takes advantage of the rotation of the disks to create an animation. For example, small containers can be used to collect sand or water. 45 The water is for example raised from position 6 to position 12 and falls back into a perpetual symbolic movement of time passing. In version 5: Numbers are no longer simply written on discs but are themselves animated (see Figure 4) by setting them for example at their highest point. These 50 figures can be geometric: square (9), circle (10), triangle (11) but can also be thematic (by way of non-limiting example: for Christmas we can print the figures on objects symbolizing Christmas. if you are a shoe salesman you can put the numbers on the different models of the brand). A device is thus obtained in which the figures are themselves animated and turn to be always perpendicular to the horizon. By turning the lid or tab, you can change the degree at which the time is read. We can vary the models of the device to infinity because we can play on the graphics of the numbers, on the decor of the discs, on the decoration of the cache, on 60 the animation of the figures, on the position of the cache, on the decor The tab can also reduce the number of discs (1 for hours and 1 for minutes) but also provide more than 3 discs (a fourth disc for lunar phases for example).

The device according to the invention is particularly intended to indicate the time that passes but in an original way.
