5 15 20  signaling a change of direction for bicycles in order to indicate to other users by two flashing moving light arms any path change or turn to the right or left. It is generally accepted that any cyclist making a change of direction signals his intention by extending his arm laterally, thus reducing his balance by 50% since he only holds his handlebars with one hand. In addition, this action is not always well received by other users, especially at night, for obvious lack of bright haven. The device allows the cyclist by acting on a control mounted on the handlebars, signal his intention to change direction while strengthening the safety and control of driving by holding both hands on the handlebars. The attached sketches illustrate the invention. According to sketch N 1 and N 2, the device consists of a housing (A) serving to support the movable steering arms (C) direction change indicators. The device is completed with two controls by flexible cables under sheath (D) activating the control of the steering arms from the handles (type brake handle) attached to the handlebar. According to sketch N 4), this housing (A) is fixed on a metal support (A / B) for fixing it, preferably under and behind the luggage rack According to sketch N 1 the device can be arranged so that the opening of the indicator arms is done on a horizontal plane (90 opening, from front to rear, in this case the normal use of the luggage rack is preserved, according to sketch N 2, for luggage carriers equipped with saddlebags, the device can be arranged so that the opening of the indicator arms is on a vertical plane (from bottom to top) According to sketch N 3 and N 4 the opening of each lateral signaling arm is obtained by the action of the cyclist on one or the other of the handles fixed to the handlebar, the traction imposed on the flexible cable under sheath (D) bringing the rotation of the piece (F) therefore, the opening of the steering arm, integral with the piece ( F) According to sketch N 3 and N 4 the release of the handle on the handlebar allows the return of the lateral arm to its initial position by action of a return spring (G) disposed on the axis of rotation (H) According to sketch N 1 and N 2, each steering arm is provided at its end with a orange flashing light (E) whose ignition is automatically activated by the opening of the signaling arm. This fire is extinguished by breaking of the electrical contacts when the signaling arm returned to its initial position by the return spring (G). According to sketch Nos. 1 and 2, each lamp arranged at the end of the steering arms is provided with three flashing LEDs (or more) and not bulbs, the light intensity is significantly higher for a much lower power consumption. According to sketch N 3 and N 4 each direction indicator arm is fixed on a cylindrical piece (F) pivoting inside the housing around an axis (H) itself secured to the housing. To this cylindrical piece is also fixed an annex piece (J) or will be provided inking the flexible control cable (D) and the two terminals (K) ensuring the electrical contact on the two flexible blades (LI / L2) connected to the batteries. According to sketch N 3 the electric source necessary for the lighting of the LEDs is provided by batteries (M) disposed inside the housing. A connection device with 2 flexible metal strips (L 1 / L 2) superimposed and isolated from the housing by the part (R) makes it possible to establish the passage of the current Towards the LEDs via two electric wires (NI / N2) placed at the inside of the direction indicator arms. According to sketch N 3 these two polarity wires (+ and -) are connected to terminals (K) arranged on the auxiliary part (J) pivoting inside the housing. These two terminals, when opening (90) of the steering arm come into contact with the flexible blades (L 1 / L 2) secured to the batteries thus bringing the lighting flashing lights clearly signaling to other users the intent to change direction. The electrical contact will be interrupted automatically by the release of the handle on the handlebar: the return spring acting to return the indicator arm to its initial position, which causes the breaking of the contacts between the terminals (K) and the flexible blades (L1- L2) According to sketch N 1 and N 2, the device leaves the entire arrangement of the luggage rack using tensioners or other fastening straps. According to the invention, the housing is provided with fasteners adapted to the tubular structure of the luggage rack. According to the invention, all or parts of the assembly (housing and indicator arms) can be indifferently made of metal or synthetic material (by molding) in order to arrive at a manufacturing cost compatible with the use of the product. 5 15 20
