Description
1 Véhicule automobile à trois volumes transformable La présente inventionA convertible three-volume automobile vehicle The present invention
Ce véhicule comprend un capot de coffre s'ouvrant par basculement de l'avant vers l'arrière par l'intermédiaire de moyens d'articulation transversaux à l'axe longitudinal du véhicule et situés près d'une extrémité basse du capot, les moyens d'articulation assurant une liaison avec la structure du véhicule. a three-volume motor vehicle convertible into a dump-type open-top motor vehicle, the vehicle comprising a crate comprising: an engine compartment disposed at the front of the vehicle; - a trunk arranged at the rear of the vehicle; a passenger compartment arranged between the engine compartment and the trunk, the trunk being delimited by a partition wall between the trunk and the passenger compartment, arranged substantially vertically, a boot lid, two side walls and a floor; the trunk lid being pivotally articulated on the vehicle body between a closed position blocking access to the trunk and an open position allowing access to the trunk, the cover comprising a frame, a cover, a wall of rear end, the cover being carried by the frame in the opening and closing positions of the hood and movable relative to the frame, and retracting substantially parallel to the partition wall between the passenger compartment and the trunk, the frame being pivotally articulated on the vehicle body between a position in which the frame is disposed between the side walls of the trunk and a position in which the frame is offset angularly relative to the side walls of the trunk. It is known from EP-A1-1 690 715 to transform a three-volume motor vehicle into an open-type dump-type motor vehicle. This vehicle comprises a boot lid opening by tilting from the front to the rear by means of hinge means transverse to the longitudinal axis of the vehicle and located near a low end of the hood, the means articulation connecting the vehicle structure.
The hood includes a supporting structure supporting a trunk lid and a rear end wall. The lid is removable from the rest of the hood. It retracts inside the trunk along and behind a fixed partition 2909350 2 separation between the passenger compartment and the trunk. The retraction allows to open substantially access to the trunk. The substantially vertical side slides are fixed in part at the front of the inner walls of the trunk. The cover slides on these slides after rotating back and forth from its closed position. However, the cover requires a releasable articulation from a first locking state to a release state in which the released joint allows the retraction of the cover. The releasable joint and the slides of the trunk interior are complex to implement. The object of the invention is to simplify the retraction mechanism of the trunk lid, while maintaining a bulky object loading capacity. For this, in the open position of the cover, the cover retracts, 15 from its position in which the cover is carried by the frame to its retracted position in the trunk, by rotation of the cover relative to the frame. According to other characteristics: the passenger compartment comprises a roof-forming roof and in that the rotation of the cover is pivoted from a position close to the roof of the passenger compartment to a position close to the deck floor; - The frame is articulated on the vehicle body in the vicinity of the partition between the trunk and the passenger compartment; the lid is pivotally articulated on the body, independently of the pivot articulation of the frame on the body; the respective pivot joints of the cover and the frame on the body are coaxial; - hinges hinge cover on the body are swan neck; The frame is of prismatic form; the frame comprises two lateral longitudinal uprights connected by a first front cross member, and two rear lateral uprights connected by a second rear crossmember, the lateral and longitudinal side uprights of the same side forming, between them, an L; - The rear end wall comprises a pivotally pivoted gate on the second cross member of the frame at the rear of the vehicle; 5 - resilient stops hold the trunk lid in the retracted position. The solution provided to the technical problem substantially simplifies the retraction mechanism of a three-volume motor vehicle convertible into an open-top type of motor vehicle.
The invention and its advantages will be better understood on reading the following description given by way of example and with reference to the appended drawings, in which: FIG. 1 is a diagrammatic view in longitudinal section of FIG. a three-volume motor vehicle convertible into a dump-type open-top motor vehicle according to the invention; - Figure 2 is a schematic perspective view of a motor vehicle according to the invention; Figure 3 is a schematic cross-sectional view taken along section III-III of Figure 1; - Figures 4 to 8 are schematic longitudinal sectional views of the vehicle according to the invention showing the various stages of conversion of the three-volume vehicle dump-type vehicle open upwards.
In Figures 1 to 8, the X, Y, Z axis system defines the conventional orientation of a vehicle in which: the X axis is the longitudinal axis of the vehicle, oriented from rear to front ; the Y axis is the transverse axis of the vehicle, oriented from right to left; and the Z axis is the vertical axis of the vehicle, oriented from bottom to top. In the description which follows, the terms of orientation and position are related to this system of axes X, Y, Z.
Le positionnement de la première traverse 38 et de la deuxième traverse 42 s'entend suivant la représentation illustrée à la Figure 2.In FIG. 1 is shown a vehicle 10 comprising a box comprising a motor compartment 12, disposed at the front of the vehicle, a box 14 disposed at the rear of the vehicle, and a passenger compartment 16 disposed between the engine compartment 12 and 14. The cabin 16 is delimited by two side walls 18, a roof 20 forming a roof, a floor 22 and a rear window 23. The trunk 14 is delimited by a dividing wall 24 between the passenger compartment 16 and the trunk 14, the partition 24 being arranged vertically substantially in line with the rear window 23. The trunk is also delimited by a trunk lid 26, two side walls 28 and a floor 29. The hood 26 comprises a frame 30 arranged on two sides of a prism, a cover 32 and a rear end wall 34. The cover 32 and the wall 34 are both movable relative to the frame and able to seal the frame 30 along two intersecting planes. The frame 30 comprises two longitudinal lateral uprights 36 connected at their respective front ends by a first crossbar 38, said upper front (Figure 2) extending substantially parallel to the transverse Y axis of the vehicle, and two rear lateral uprights 40 arranged 20 substantially perpendicular to the lateral longitudinal struts 36. The rear end of each lateral lateral upright 36 and one of the ends of each lateral rear upright 40 are interconnected so that a lateral longitudinal upright 36 and a lateral rear upright 36 on the same side form, between them, a L. The other ends of the rear side posts 40 are connected to each other by a second cross member 42, called the lower rear section (FIG. 2), extending substantially parallel to the transverse Y axis of the vehicle. The positioning of the first cross member 38 and the second cross member 42 is as shown in the representation shown in Figure 2.
The lid 32 is of substantially rectangular parallelepipedal shape and comprises an outer transverse flange 43 on each of its lateral faces. It is adapted to be secured to the frame 30 in the opening positions 5 (5, 6) and closing positions (FIG. 1) of the cover 26. The cover 32 is also adapted to be movable relative to the frame 30 26 of the cover to retract substantially parallel to the partition wall 24 between the cockpit 16 and the trunk 14. Elastic stops 44 retain the cover 32 substantially vertically in the retracted position (Figure 2), the stops 44 being fixed in the trunk 14 near the partition wall 24 and the floor 29. The respective hinge hinges 46 and 48 respectively articulate the cover 32 and the frame 30 along an axis parallel to the transverse Y axis of the vehicle. The hinges 46 articulating the cover 32 on the vehicle body 10 are of the gooseneck type. The hinges 48 articulating the frame 30 on the body of the same vehicle 10 are of simple type. The frame 30 is pivotally articulated on the body of the vehicle 10 between a position in which it is disposed between the side walls 28 of the box 14 (FIG. 1) and a position in which it is angularly offset relative to the side walls 28 of the box. chest 14 (Figure 3). Advantageously, the hinges 46 and 48 are coaxial. Thus, the cover 32 is pivotally articulated on the body independently of the pivot joint of the frame 30 on the same body. The rear end wall 34 comprises a gate 34. This gate is connected to the second cross member 42 of the frame 30 at the rear of the vehicle 10. Simple hinges 50 arranged at the bottom rear part (FIG. 2) of the articulating frame 30 gate 34 pivots along an axis parallel to the transverse Y axis 25 of the vehicle. Locking or holding means 52 and 54 secure the cover 32 to the frame 30. Likewise, locking or holding means 56 and 58 solidly connect the rear end wall 34 to the frame 30. Retaining means 59, under form of wire rope tie rods, retain the rear end wall 34 in an unlocked position substantially parallel to the lateral longitudinal struts 36 at the rear of the frame 30.
As shown in FIG. 3, in the locked position or maintained on the frame 30, the cover 32 is positioned between the longitudinal lateral uprights 36 and the first crossbar 38, the outer transverse wing 43 being disposed towards the inside of the box. 14.
Each of the side walls 28 of the trunk 14 comprises an inner transverse flange 60 supporting a seal 62 facing the outside of the vehicle 10. When locking or holding means (not shown) solidarize the second cross member 42 of the frame 30 at the vehicle body 10, the lateral longitudinal struts 36 crush the seal 62. This arrangement makes it possible to evacuate a fluid, such as rain water, between the longitudinal lateral struts 36 and the lateral walls 28 of the trunk 14. The longitudinal lateral uprights 36 comprise profiles having an inner transverse flange 64 supporting a sealing gasket 66 turned towards the inside of the trunk 14. When the locking or holding means 52 and 54 solidify the cover 32 with frame 30, the wings 43 of the side cover 32 crush the seal 66. This arrangement allows to evacuate a fluid, such as e to the rain, between the cover 32 and the longitudinal uprights 36 of the longitudinal frame 30.
In Figure 1, the hood 26 blocks access to the rear trunk 14 of the vehicle 10 like a conventional three-volume vehicle trunk. A handle (not shown) disposed externally on the rear end wall 34 allows the cover 26 to be opened from its lower closing position to a high opening position (FIG. 4) by pivoting back and forth from the hood 26 about the common axis of the hinges 46 and 48. The open position of the cover 26 is limited angularly so as to prevent the hinges 46 gooseneck interfering with the rear window 23 of the passenger compartment 16. .
Le pivotement du cadre 30 et de la paroi 34 permet de solidariser la deuxième traverse 42 du cadre 30 au reste de la caisse du véhicule 10.From this first open position, an unlocking handle (not shown) disposed on the inner face of the cover 32 makes it possible to separate the cover 32 from the frame 30. The cover 32 pivots around the axis of the hinges 46 gooseneck from a high position to a low position, shown in FIG. 5, by making an arcuate movement at an angle of about 180. The cover 32 is then in a substantially vertical position parallel to the dividing wall 24 between the passenger compartment 16 and the trunk 14, in which position the stops 44 of slightly elastic material retain the cover 32 in its retracted configuration. In this latter configuration, the user can load the trunk 14 with a relatively tall object, shown in phantom in FIG. 5, while remaining within the scanning zone of the frame 30 and the wall 34 of FIG. rear end. As shown in FIG. 6, once the cover 32 has been retracted, the frame 30 and the rear end wall 34 are able to pivot by an additional angular value beyond the maximum angular position of the cover 26 (FIG. 4). the movement is no longer limited by any interference of the gooseneck hinges 46 of the cover 32 with the rear window 23 of the passenger compartment 16. In this new configuration, the frame 30 and the wall 34 of the rear end may remain in this position, corresponding to a minimum wind setting position, to convey a bulky object, shown in phantom in Figure 6, of a height substantially greater than that of an object transported in the position d angularly limited opening of the cover 26 (Figure 5). Thus, the transformation of a three-volume vehicle into an upwardly open dump vehicle enables the transport and loading of bulky objects in height. Since one of the configurations having a frame 30 in the open position, a pivoting movement about the axis of the hinges 48 makes it possible to fold down the frame 30 and the rear end wall 34 to a low position in which the frame 30 is disposed between the side walls 28 of the trunk 14, as shown in Figures 7 and 8. The pivoting of the frame 30 and the wall 34 secures the second cross member 42 of the frame 30 to the rest of the vehicle body 10.
Thus, the rear portion of the cargo space is in a configuration of an upwardly open dump vehicle called a pick-up. The gate 34 of the rear end wall is folded into a substantially horizontal position (Figure 8) to provide access to the cargo volume of the open dump vehicle upwardly. In this configuration, the gate 34 has a face extending substantially in the extension of the floor 29 of the box 14, the latter having an extended flat bottom. Thus, an even larger object, shown in phantom lines in Figure 8, is capable of being loaded into the cargo volume of the dump vehicle open upwardly. Thanks to the invention, the lid retraction mechanism is simple, while allowing the loading of bulky objects in the trunk of the three-volume vehicle convertible into a dump vehicle open upwards.
