Description

Suivant un mode de réalisation préféré de l'invention, l'élément support est constitué d'un cylindre rotatif monté sensiblement parallèlement au sol, c'est-à-dire horizontalement.  type mounted on a vehicle or automobile sweeper, the system comprising a brush holder rotatably mounted with respect to an axis and at least one brush element, one end of which is intended to come into contact with the ground for the sweeping action, said at least one brush element being rotated about the axis of the support. This type of scanning system has the particular disadvantage, in the case where the broom axis is mounted on a motor vehicle, quickly lose its scanning efficiency. The present invention aims to overcome the disadvantages of the prior art by providing a scanning system which, especially when mounted on a motor vehicle, retains a longer efficiency of its scanning. According to the invention, the scanning system, intended to be mounted on a motor vehicle, comprising a brush support member rotatably mounted relative to a support axis, and at least one brush element whose one end of scanning is intended for come into contact with the ground to enable the sweeping action, the arrangement being such that the at least one brush element is rotated by the rotation of the brush support member, is characterized in that it is provided end adjusting means for adjusting the spacing of the at least one brush member relative to the rotatable support member. By thus providing means for adjusting the position of the sweeping end of the brush member relative to the rotatable support member, it is now possible to combat the consequences on the efficiency of the sweeping which are related to the brush wear. Indeed, as the end intended to come into contact with the ground of the brush element wears, the user of the brush can move the brush element and in particular its end, from a distance the rotating support member to combat this wear and keep the scanner as effective as it had when it was first put into service. According to a preferred embodiment of the invention, the support element consists of a rotating cylinder mounted substantially parallel to the ground, that is to say horizontally.

According to a preferred embodiment of the invention, the brush element is constituted by a plate extending lengthwise along the support element and having an outer end edge intended to come in contact with the ground substantially parallel to the axis of rotation of the rotary support member. According to a particularly preferred embodiment, the adjustment means consist of a plate mounted substantially perpendicular to the axis of rotation of the support member, wherein plate is formed at least one guide slot in which can move a cam integral with the brush element, a rod and a screw, the rod, the cam and the screw being arranged so that, when the screw is actuated, the rod pushes the cam to move it in the slot to move the brush element away from the support member. According to a preferred embodiment of the invention, the plate is in the form of a star having several branches, in particular four in each of which is formed a guide slot and each of which is associated with a cam and linkage system, the links being ordered by a common screw. An embodiment of the invention will now be described by way of example only and with reference to the drawing. In the drawing: Figure 1 is a partial perspective view of a broom system according to the invention; Figure 2 is a schematic longitudinal sectional view of the system of Figure 1; Figure 3 is a sectional view transverse to the axis of rotation of the support element of the system of Figure 1, in a first state of first start; and FIG. 4 is a view identical to FIG. 3 in a state in which the brush elements have been moved away from the support member. In the figures there is shown a broom system according to the invention. This broom system is mounted on a motor vehicle, especially at the front thereof at the bottom. The brush system according to the invention comprises a cylindrical support member 1 disposed horizontally and rotated by a not shown drive system, which can in particular be connected directly to the motor vehicle. The support element 1 is integral at its two lateral ends with perpendicular plates 2. In each of its four star-shaped plates 2 spaced from each other by an angle of about 90, four slots 3 are formed. In each slot 3 is guided in translation an arm 4 of a L-shaped cam 5. A link 6 is mounted so that one of its ends 7 comes into contact with the arm 4 of the cam 5 to move it along the guide slot. A screw 8 secures the rod 6 to the cam 5. The other end 19 of the rod is attached to an intermediate plate 10 rotatably mounted relative to the plate 2, under the control of a screw 11. The The link 6 is moved by means of the screw 11, which will enable the user, by screwing, to pivot the link 6 to push the cam arm 4 along the guiding slot 3. . On the cam arm 4, and in particular on its side turned towards the outside, two brush plates 9 are fixed. These brush plates are substantially rectangular plates whose end edge 20 is intended to come into contact with the ground for scanning. This is, for example, plates made of a thermoplastic material. As wear of the end edge 20 of the brush elements, the user can, by actuating the screw 11, move the brush plates away from the axis of the support member to thereby bring the edges closer together. end 20 to the ground to maintain the same scanning circle and thus maintain the same scanning efficiency. At commissioning, the brush is as shown in Figure 3. (In Figure 3, only four brush elements have been shown and yet it goes without saying that there are also from each of the four branches of the star). As the brush elements wear out, they are moved away from the brush axis, as shown in FIG. 4, while substantially maintaining the same scanning circle (shown in dotted lines).
