Abstract
Description
La présente invention entre dans le domaine de la localisation physique deThe present invention is in the field of the physical location of
The invention more particularly relates to a system for geolocation of a person or object through radio waves, a portable radio geolocation device and the characteristics relating to the operation of said system and device.
Such a system will find application in any geolocatization of person, equipment, vehicle or the like, fixed or moving within a chamber covered by said system. The latter will find a particular application in the location of person within a transport terminal, preferably but not limited to, the passenger location in an airport or terminal airport. The invention may also relate to the location of people in any type of enclosure, such as a child in an amusement park, museum or other, cars in a parking lot, containers, etc. In this context, it is already known, that during the boarding of passengers on board an aircraft, there are delays of people who have been registered and that it is necessary to wait. Indeed, during registration, each person receives his boarding pass and is then left free to come and go as he pleased, inevitably causing delays. The solution lies in the broadcast of a voice message in the airport enclosure to engage the latecomer's attention and invite him to go to the boarding gate or a meeting point. Another solution is to send agents to randomly hail the expected person and drive quickly to the place of embarkation. In terms of geographical location, the state of the art obviously knows satellite positioning. Although it offers great precision, this type of system only works in the open, in direct communication with the satellite. It is ineffective in an enclosure. The aim of the invention is to overcome the drawbacks of the state of the art by proposing an efficient and precise system for the geographical location of a person or object in an enclosure, in particular a passenger within an airport enclosure. . The advantages of the invention reside in the use of radio waves and through the management of a personal portable device in the form of a badge. In particular, the invention is intended to optimize the location of said badge through a dual absolute and differential operation. To do this, the invention relates to a radio wave localization method of a person, object or the like, fixed or moving, within a chamber, characterized in that it consists in: - binding said person or object to a portable device, such as a badge, said portable device being able to transmit and receive radio waves; transmitting in said enclosure radio signals through radio wave transmission and reception means, in the form of fixed beacons, arranged so as to divide said enclosure into zones; Managing the power supply of said badge; - Interpret by the badge said signals to locate absolutely and differentially with respect to at least one mobile terminal location; and - intercept said badge by means of said mobile terminal 30 of location. The invention also relates to a portable device for implementing said localization method, characterized in that it comprises means for transmitting and receiving radio waves, means capable of encoding said analog radio waves in signals. numerically and conversely, means for calculating said digital signals, data storage means, timer means in the form of a minutier, these components being combined with one another so as to determine the power state of said badge. The invention further relates to the method of operation of computing means included in said device, said computing means comprise a battery processor provided with a main memory space, a memory space constituting an address stack and a memory space constituting a data stack, each memory space being connected to a register (reciprocally T, R and S) through a data transfer bus, characterized in that during read and write operations in the main memory space, said memory spaces and said corresponding registers are used simultaneously.
Other characteristics and advantages of the invention will emerge from the following detailed description of non-limiting embodiments of the invention. The present invention relates to the geographical location of a person, object or the like, fixed or moving, within an enclosure. The invention will find a particular application, but not limited to, in the example of geolocation of passenger within an airport. The location system according to the invention consists in mapping said enclosure by the positioning of radio wave transmission and reception means capable of transmitting a radio signal on all or part of said enclosure. To do this, these transmitting and receiving means may be in the form of fixed beacons. These beacons are then disposed within the enclosure so as to divide the enclosure into different zones. In the example chosen, these areas may be the check-in hall, the departure lounge and the rest of the airport. Note in this connection that the enclosure may be a building 35 or set of buildings, a physically delimited space or through said beacons and the emission of their radio signal.
An advantageous characteristic according to the invention consists in linking said person or object to a portable device. This link can consist in storing on said device, through adequate means, data relating to the carrier, the place and the enclosure, the delimited areas, tags, etc. The stored data may also relate to a schedule, in particular, in the case of this example, the boarding time of a flight. According to the preferred embodiment, this device can be in the form of a badge. This badge can be worn by a person or attached to an object. This portable device is capable of transmitting and receiving, by radio wave, information. In particular, the signal emitted by said beacons carries information that said device is able to capture. To do this, said badge is provided with radio wave communication means. These communication means are in the form of means for receiving and resetting radio waves and comprise an analog input and output interface, reciprocal reception and transmission, radio wave. The received analog radio waves are then transcribed into a digital signal so as to allow its processing through computing means. Reverse encoding, digital to analog is also provided for the purpose of transmitting a signal through the transmitting means. In short, the portable device is able to receive the radio signals emitted by several tags, transcribe them in order to interpret them and then to emit a signal in turn. This interpretation of the signals emitted by said beacons consists in locating in an absolute or differential manner. Absolute localization is carried out through fixed beacons transmitting signals and defining zones inside the enclosure. To do this, the device receives the signals from said beacons and interprets these signals. Absolute localization consists of studying said signals received by said badge with respect to data stored on said badge and so as to determine said zone in which it is located. In this regard, the stored data may be a map representation of the enclosure and the component areas. During the study of the signals emitted by the beacons, said device selects the relevant signals and eliminates the signals of less importance, for example because of their low power. Once the location zone determined by said device, the badge can be indicated or not. If he has not changed his zone, he will not see a return signal. If not, it will send a return signal to locate it in a zone. The information relating to the location area of the device is then transmitted to central management means. The differential location intervenes during the search for said portable device. This search is done using a mobile location terminal. It intervenes in two phases consisting, on the one hand, in locating the zone in which the device is located and the one in which the location terminal is located. This step is carried out by absolute localization using the signals emitted by the beacons. Once the target badge and the location terminal are present in the same area, the location is effected through the relative position of said badge with respect to said terminal. According to different parameters, the badge and said terminal cooperate to, on the one hand, emit from the badge signals close together in time and, on the other hand, calculate by said terminal the approximate position of said device in order to of his interception. This last step consists in triggering by said badge a visual or audible signal, such as a ringing or a light signal. It can also reside in a measurement phase by said terminal of the gradient of the attenuation of the radio waves emitted by the badge so as to determine the direction of said badge relative to said terminal. To do this, it is necessary to measure the signal emitted by said device and then change direction at right angles to perform another measurement. The terminal then calculates the direction of said badge. In this regard, said terminal may be equipped with means for transmitting and receiving radio signals to enable the location of said device, through graphic display means, such as a screen.
The device according to the invention also comprises autonomous power supply means. An essential characteristic of the invention lies in the management of the power supply of said badge in order to optimize the longevity of its batteries.
To do this, said badge comprises several modes of operation in which it is not powered in the same way. In other words, the components constituting the badge are combined with one another so as to determine the power state of said device. This energy management includes four states: sleep (A), sleep (B), wakefulness (C) and action (D). The badge goes from one state to another according to the different cases. In particular, said device can periodically switch from a sleep state to a waking state through a delay by supplying the radio wave reception means of said badge; to go from a waking state to a state of sleep; to move from a waking state to a waking state through the reception of a radio signal; to move from a state of awakening to a state of sleep; to switch from a waking state to a state of action for transmitting a signal by calculating a zone change of said badge; to move from a state of action to a state of sleep. In other words, the device maintained in sleep state in which all the components constituting the badge are not powered, except for a timer. The latter periodically supplies the reception means to detect the presence or absence of specific radio waves. Depending on the frequency of the timer, the means for receiving the badge are therefore listening to radio signals. This state is the waking state. If no signal is detected, the device reverts to sleep. In the opposite case, the signal picked up then must be interpreted. The device therefore changes state to enter waking mode during which computing means are powered to calculate the area in which said badge is located.
After comparison with the zone in which it was previously stored in a non-volatile memory, if the zone is identical, then the badge returns to sleep mode. If there is a change of zone, the transmitting means are fed and a return signal is sent to signal the change of zone location. Then the badge goes back to sleep mode. The transition to sleep state, from standby states, waking or action is to cut the power of the electronic components of said badge, except the minutier. Thus, by switching from one mode to another, the device operates optimally optimally, without feeding unnecessary components to the operation of its state. The device itself thus comprises means for transmitting and receiving radio waves, but also means able to encode said analog radio waves in digital signals and vice versa, means for calculating said digital signals, storage means data, delay means in the form of a minutier. These components are therefore combined with each other so as to determine the power state of said badge, in particular through a particular principle of power supply management, described above. According to the embodiments, the device may comprise different sensors on said badge, namely biometric sensors for the identification of the carrier or other. Thus, the location system according to the invention makes it possible to offer a means of securing an enclosure. The computing means provided with said device are in the form of a battery processor whose architecture and operation have been designed to reduce the size of instructions and their execution time. To do this, said computing means comprise a battery processor provided with a main memory space, a memory space constituting an address stack and a memory space constituting a data stack, each memory space being connected to a register (reciprocally T, R and S) through a data transfer bus. In other words, the address stack is read or write to the register R, the read or write data stack in the register S, and the main memory space read or write to the register T. A characteristic the method of the calculation means lies in the fact that, during read operations and writing in the main memory space, said memory spaces and said corresponding registers are used simultaneously. The processor runs less time and saves even more energy. In particular, the read and write use the register R to drive the memory address bus. At the end of the cycle, they depilate the stack of addresses for an update of the register R. Moreover, the writing uses the register T to drive the data buses of the main memory space. At the end of the cycle, it transfers the value contained in the register S to the register T and then unpacks the data stack to update S. Finally, the reading uses the register T as destination of the memory data bus. At the end of the instruction cycle, it stacks the register S in the data stack and saves the old value of S in the register T. It thus performs four operations simultaneously, considerably reducing the duration of use of the processor. The advantage of the invention, besides locating a person or an object, lies in the durable operation of a portable device as compact and light as possible while offering intelligent management of the power supply. Of course, the invention is not limited to the examples illustrated and described above which may have variants and modifications without departing from the scope of the invention.
