Abstract

The equipment has two rigid skis that are mounted separately on axes of front and rear wheels. Each rigid ski is constituted of two bases and allows the wheel to pass in its longitudinal axis. The wheel and sides constitute a directional assembly which contacts the snow irrespective of the direction selected by the mountain bike. The edges of bases of the ski are disposed on undeformable volume generators.

L'équipement comprend deux skis qui se montent séparément en pivot sur les axes des roues avant et arrière sans modification du V T T. Le montage des skis se fait rapidement sur le terrain même d'évolution par simple dépose et repose des axes de roues. Ce montage en pivot permet au V T T de franchir les variations de relief dans le sen s de son déplacement (fig 2). Chaque ski rigide est constitué de deux semelles, il laisse passer en son axe longitudinal la roue. La roue constitue avec les cares un ensemble directionnel en contact avec la neige quelle que soit la direction souhaitée par le V T T (fig 3). La configuration rigide du ski permet au V T T une évolution sur la neige qui s'apparente à celle du ski parabolique par la courbe engendrée par les cares et ceci quelle que soit la pente d'évolution.  The apparatus of the invention allows the mountain bike to negotiate all the pitfalls of a snowy terrain.
