Abstract

The conduit (5) has additional air inlets (6) along its length such that the radiated noise through and in the vicinity of each inlet is lower than the noise at a mouth (7). The level of radiated noise through one additional air inlet is identical to the other air inlets. The inlets are disposed at intervals along the conduit and are distributed radially in the form rows defining the intervals.
