Les produits cosmétiques et d'hygiène contiennent généralement une charge d'un ou plusieurs composés organiques anti-bactériens ou inhibiteurs du développement bactérien. Or la plupart de ces produits organiques anti-bactériens sont potentiellement dangereux pour la santé et soupçonnés d'être en particulier cancérigènes. Il est donc souhaitable d'en éviter l'usage ou d'en limiter fortement les concentrations dans les produits cosmétiques.L'invention décrit un composé en grains microniques ou sub-microniques et constitué d'une matrice de composition oxyde contenant de l'oxyde de cérium ou de l'oxyde d'yttrium ou du titanate de calcium, sous forme d'oxydes purs ou de mélanges d'oxydes ou de solutions solides d'oxydes, sous forme cristallisée ou vitreuse, cette matrice étant additionnée d'au moins l'un des éléments parmi l'argent, le cuivre ou le zinc. Ces éléments forment des agrégats sub-microniques, typiquement de dimension comprise entre environ 20 nanomètres et environ 500 nanomètres dispersés dans le volume des grains de la matrice ou typiquement de dimension comprise entre environ 20 nanomètres et environ 200 dispersés à la surface des grains de la matrice.Cosmetic and hygiene products generally contain a filler of one or more organic anti-bacterial compounds or inhibitors of bacterial development.
