Abstract

The package has a cardboard plate (10) receiving a rigid sheet and having a lower edge (12) on which the plate is supported. The plate has double coated adhesive tapes (18, 18`) sensitive to pressure for integrating the plate with the sheet, such that the sheet is maintained in suspension when the plate is supported on its lower edge. The plate has lateral panels (16, 16`) articulated around a bent line to form an angle with the edge. An independent claim is also included for a method of packaging a rigid sheet such as a windshield, of a vehicle.
