Abstract

The wrapping has a fabric sleeve (3) for receiving an item (2) e.g. foie gras preserve, to be packaged, and two ligatures (7, 8) arranged on both sides of the item. Each one of the ligatures has a tightening cord (9) including a central part (11) and two end strands (12, 13). The central part forms an outer tightening loop (14) around the sleeve and the strands are tied by a locking device (10). An independent claim is also included for a packed item comprising a wrapping.
