Description

The present invention relates to a set of furniture for children usable during meals and daily activities of the child in the home environment. Traditionally, a high chair with a tablet is used to feed the child at the adult table. This type of furniture has an excessive height for the child, which requires the use of safety items.
In private life, the use of security articles is not compulsory. Thus, the presence of a harness or safety straps does not impose their use. In addition, security has an additional cost, it is not a selling point. Most of these items are sold separately.
The risk of falling is significant. Domestic accidents linked to the use of furniture or childcare articles originate from a fall from a height. The fall of the high chair is the first cause of head trauma in small children.
All of the furniture according to the invention makes it possible to best adapt the height of the seat to the size of the child according to its growth to minimize the risk of falling. It also offers sustainable and deferred use of all of the components. The scalable chair is made up of three independent elements including a booster, a small chair and a coffee table which can be stacked together. This set offers eight possible combinations including four different seat heights.
The booster is a seat with armrests, fitted with a removable safety element. To pose at the level of ground it is used to wedge baby during its first year. It could also be attached as follows to the small chair so that the back of the booster accommodates in its counter-form, the ergonomic curve of the seat of the chair. The small chair is suitable for children who have learned to walk. The child could sit by himself or be helped by an adult. By combining with the coffee table, with or without the booster, the chair can be used in various daily configurations. The coffee table can be used as a table for meals and activities for the child, as well as for the base of the small chair and the booster seat.By its low height, its stable shape and the ergonomics of the seat, the scalable chair ensures maximum safety for everyday use.
The stacking system makes it easy to adapt the furniture to different situations of domestic life according to the specific need of the user. This set is intended to serve from the second half of the child's first year for approximately six years. The design of this furniture incorporates the taking into account of the child's progressive autonomy and promotes the learning of security which for the child begins with understanding the environment and mastering the body and its movements. .
The accompanying drawings illustrate the invention: FIG. 1 represents the booster. -Figure 1.1 shows the booster fitted with a removable safety element. The thickness of the seat is 40 mm. According to the particular modes of manufacture, this seat is a shell covered with a flexible material or with thermo-compressed foam. -Figure 2 represents the small chair. The seat height is 225 mm. The material used for the manufacture of the chair must be rigid, impact resistant, washable, for example injected polypropylene. -Figure 3 represents the coffee table. The height of the table is 390 mm. The material used is the same type as the chair. -Figure 4 shows the chair in the high position. The booster with the removable safety element, the small chair and the coffee table form a unit with a maximum seat height of 470 mm. -Figure 4.1 shows the chair without the removable safety element. - Figure 5 shows the booster and the small chair stacked. The seat height is 265 mm. -Figure 6 represents the coffee table and the small chair. -Figure 7 represents the small chair stacked on the coffee table. The seat height is 430 mm. -Figure 8 represents the coffee table and the booster stacked on the small chair.
It is mandatory to respect an angle of inclination greater than or equal to 102 [deg] for the proper functioning of all the components of the evolutionary chair.
The drawings 1,2,3 and 4 include the dimensions and technical details of the invention.
