Abstract

A secondary transmission shaft (9), set drive relationship with satellite supports (28) and crown wheel (22), is mounted coaxially and is fixed to the crankshaft (1) of the primary transmission (5). A clutch (7) mechanically couples the crankshaft and the primary transmission. The clutch is mounted between the primary transmission shaft and an epicyclical gear train (20). The transmission is of the pulley and belt type that is Continuously Variable Transmission type (CVT). The clutch is controlled by a supervisory device (34) which also controls the speed relationship of he transmission system. Hybrid parallel traction system for an automobile including: (a) mechanical traction chain having an internal combustion engine (MT) rotating a crankshaft, a transmission system (3) having a primary transmission shaft which can be mechanically coupled to the crankshaft and a secondary transmission shaft, set with respect to a wheel (14) of the vehicle (V) and which can be mechanically coupled to the primary transmission; an electric machine (ME) having a stator (16) and rotor (15) which can selectively operate as motor or generator. The rotor can be selectively coupled to the primary or secondary transmission shaft. The rotor is set in drive relationship with a planetary (24) of an epicyclical gear train (20) and the secondary transmission shaft (9) is set in drive relationship with a crown wheel or a satellite support of the epicyclical gear train.
