Abstract

The gear lever knob (10) has an actuator plate on its upper face with an electrical switch (26) connected to a non-transmission control, such as a seat adjuster. The actuator plate (12) is tiltably mounted to the knob body around a transverse axis. the plate actuates one and preferably two opposed switches and has a return spring.
