TO APPLY THESE COMPOUNDS
The subject of the present invention is a process useful for perfluoroalkylation and as well as a reagent for carrying out this process. It relates more particularly to a reagent and to a process for grafting a substituted difluoromethyl group onto a compound comprising at least one electrophilic function. It relates more particularly to a technique for perfluoroalkyl different compounds by nucleophilic substitution or addition reactions typically carried out by organometallic derivatives.
Perfluoroalkylation techniques, or equivalent techniques, generally use derivatives of the perfluoroalkyl iodide or bromide type, in the presence of zinc. This technique is therefore expensive, while requiring facilities for treating metallic waste which must be treated because zinc is a major pollutant in waterways. In addition, compounds of trifluoromethyl bromide type exhibit a considerable greenhouse effect.
The other techniques, where the perfluoroalkyl radical does not form a stabilized reactive intermediate of the organometallic type, are in general difficult to implement owing to the very low stability of the free perfluorinated anions in the reaction media. The latter generally lead to products of the carbon type, which when they react have lost one of their substituents.
This is why one of the aims of the present invention is to provide a reagent which allows perfluoroalkylation according to a mechanism of the type involving carbanion, without resorting to organometallics of transition metals such as zinc.
It has often been sought to use as a source of perfluoroalkyl radicals, more generally trifluoromethyl radicals, perfluorocarboxylic acids, by implementing decomposition reactions aimed at eliminating the carboxylic moiety of said acids by releasing carbon dioxide. However, the successes which had been obtained were very mixed and used particularly complicated catalytic systems. The perfluoroalkyl radicals or their equivalents generated by the decomposition of said perfluorocarboxylic acids were also unstable in the reaction medium and required the use of stabilizing agents.
Plus récemment SHONO dans un article intitulé "a novel trifluorométhylation of aldéhydes and ketones promoted by an electrogenerated base " et publié dans J.More recently SHONO in an article entitled "a novel trifluoromethylation of aldehydes and ketones promoted by an electrogenerated base" and published in J.
Org. Chem. Org. Chem. 1991, 56, 2-4 tried to carry out perfluoromethylation reactions from fluoroform and showed that it was very difficult to obtain positive results in the absence of the base consisting of the pyrolidonyl anion associated with a cation quaternary ammonium on the express condition that this base was generated by electrolysis.
During this comparative study, taking as test reaction the trifluoromethylation of benzaldehyde according to the so-called Barbier technique (which will be detailed below), this author concluded that the results obtained from other bases gave zero or mediocre yields. and that the side reactions, and in particular that of Cannizaro (disproportionation of benzaldehyde to benzolic acid and benzyl alcohol), were predominant [but the procedures relating to the usual bases (potassium tert-butoxide, sodium hydride, etc.) are not described therein. ].
However, the techniques using the electro-generated bases described by this author require, on the one hand, a complex apparatus and, on the other hand, a dexterity, such that they are difficult to reproduce and extremely difficult to extrapolate to industrial scales. Finally, the use of quaternary ammoniums which are very hygroscopic involves a great deal of care.
The present invention proposes to overcome the drawbacks of the existing processes by providing a reagent which is not harmful to the environment and capable of producing the desired products with a satisfactory yield.
These goals and others which will appear subsequently are achieved by means of a reagent obtained by bringing into contact in a polar medium and little or no protic, a material of formula RfH and a base (or a species capable of generating a strong base in the presence of a compound containing mobile hydrogen such as, for example, toluene, as an example of such a species there may be mentioned alkali metals, or even alkaline earth metals) with a substrate carrying at at least one double bond of type> C = Y where Y represents an advantageously substituted nitrogen or more preferably a chalcogen atom (advantageously sulfur or more generally oxygen).
In the present description, by H-Rf is meant radicals of formula:
H- (CX2) p-GEA (II) where the Xs which are similar or different represent a fluorine or a radical of formula CnF2n + with n integer at most equal to 5, preferably 2, or even chlorine; where p represents an integer at least equal to 1 and at most equal to 2; where GEA represents an electron-withdrawing group, the possible functions of which are inert under the reaction conditions, advantageously fluorine or a perfluorinated residue of formula CnF2n + r with n integer at most equal to 8, advantageously to 5.
Advantageously, X can only be chlorine once on the same carbon. The case where the carbon carrying the hydrogen atom has two X different from chlorine is particularly interesting.
It is also desirable that, among the X and GEA, at least one advantageously 2 are atoms (of chlorine or of fluorine).
The total number of carbon in Rf is advantageously between 1 and 15, preferably between 1 and 10.
In the RfH material of the reagent of the invention, the GEA entity which exerts an electron-withdrawing effect on the difluorinated carbon atom is preferably chosen from functional groups whose Hammett constant ap is at least equal to 0.1. It is also preferable for the inductive component of ap, aj, to be at least equal to 0.2, advantageously to 0.3. In this regard, reference is made to the work by March, "Advanced Organic Chemistry", third edition, John Wiley and Son, pages 242 to 250, and in particular to Table 4 of this section.
More particularly, the electron-withdrawing entity can be chosen from halogen atoms, preferably light, especially chlorine and fluorine. The material
The corresponding RfH is, when p is 1, a halogenoform.
GEA peut également etre avantageusement choisie parmi les groupements nitriles, carbonylés, sulfonés et perfluoroalcoylés.GEA can also be advantageously chosen from nitrile, carbonyl, sulphonated and perfluoroalkyl groups.
où G représente un groupement divalent de formule -Z-G'- dans lequel le divalent Z représente un liaison simple, un atome de chalcogène, un reste divalent -Y(R')- où R' est un radical hydrocarboné d'au plus dix atomes1 avantageusement d'au plus six atomes avantageusement d'au plus deux atomes de carbone et où Y est un atome métalloide de la colonne V (azote, phosphore,....); G' représente > C=O, > S=O, -S02-, ou - (CF.2) n- avec n entier supérieur ou égal à 1;
et où R représente un résidu organique ou minéral indifférent, de préférence un radical organique tel que aryle, alcoyle, y compris aralcoyle, éventuellement substitué. R peut également représenter un support solide minéral ou organique, tel qu'une résine;
ou bien l'ensemble R - G représente un groupe nitrile, ester, amide (avantageusement non porteur d'hydrogène), y compris sulfamide.Preferred materials of formula RfH of this type which can be used have the formula R - G - CF.2 - H
where G represents a divalent group of formula -Z-G'- in which the divalent Z represents a single bond, a chalcogen atom, a divalent residue -Y (R ') - where R' is a hydrocarbon radical of at most ten atoms1 advantageously of at most six atoms, advantageously of at most two carbon atoms and where Y is a metalloid atom from column V (nitrogen, phosphorus, etc.); G 'represents> C = O,> S = O, -S02-, or - (CF.2) n- with n integer greater than or equal to 1;
and where R represents an indifferent organic or inorganic residue, preferably an organic radical such as aryl, alkyl, including aralkyl, optionally substituted. R can also represent an inorganic or organic solid support, such as a resin;
or else the group R - G represents a nitrile, ester or amide group (advantageously not carrying hydrogen), including sulfonamide.
In the case where G represents a perfluoroalkylene group - (CF.2) n -, n is advantageously between 1 and 10, preferably between 1 and 5. Still in this case, R can also represent a halogen atom, in particular fluorine.
Thus, according to an advantageous variant of the present invention, said material of formula RfH corresponds to formula II where GEA represents an electron withdrawing group of formula III:
R-CnX'2n '(III)
Where n is an integer at most equal to 5, where R is chosen from hydrogen, a hydrocarbon radical, such as aryls and alkyls with 1 to 10 carbon atoms, and light halogens (chlorine or fluorine, advantageously fluorine ) where the X ', which are similar or different, represent a light halogen (chlorine or fluorine, advantageously fluorine) or a radical of formula CmF2m + r with integer m at most equal to 5, preferably to 2.
When R represents a hydrogen, the reaction is more complex, the said material being able to react by several ends; and the ratios between the reactants must take this reactivity into account in the stoichiometry. This versatility of materials can be a disadvantage and therefore the hydrogen value for R is not commonly desirable.
It is desirable that at least three quarters, advantageously at least nine tenths, preferably all, optionally less one, of the X and of the X 'are fluorines or perfluoroalkyls (stricto sensu either of general formula of CvF2v + 1 type)
According to the present invention, said substrate is advantageously a compound of the type:
(formula I) where Y has already been defined and where R1 is a radical chosen from hydrogen, hydrocarbon radicals such as aryl (including alkylaryl), alkyl (including aralkyl and cycloalkyl) where R2 is a radical chosen from among l 'hydrogen, hydrocarbon radicals such as aryl (including alkylaryl), alkyl (including aralkyl and cycloalkyl), among the advantageously persubstituted amine functions (that is to say whose nitrogen no longer carries hydrogen), acyloxyl functions, hydrocarbyloxyl functions, with the condition that when R1 is hydrogen R2 is neither phenyl nor dimethyl amino.
These chains R1 and R2 can be linked together to form one (or even more) cycle (s). Advantageously, the substituents are such that the sum of the carbons present in the molecule is at most equal to approximately 50, preferably to 30. It is desirable that one of, advantageously both, R1 and
R2 is not bulky, that is to say the atom connecting said radical to said function> C = Y itself only carries at most two chains (secondary radical), preferably at most one chain (primary radical).
Also, although it has been recommended many times to use with perfluoroalkylating agents, elements from column VIII of the Periodic Table of the Elements, to promote certain substrates and promote certain types of reaction, this has not happened. not particularly successful for the reaction referred to above. This is why it is preferable to use reagents which do not contain metals from column VIII, in particular metals from the platinum mine which is the group consisting of platinum, osmium, iridium, palladium. , rhodium and ruthenium.
In this description, reference is made to the Bulletin Supplement to the
Société Chimique de France number 1, January 1966, where a Periodic Table of the Elements was published.
Thus, it is preferable for the content of metals from the platinum mine, or even of metals from column VIII, to be less than 100 ppm, advantageously less than 10 ppm, preferably 1 ppm. These values are understood relative to the starting acid base and are expressed in moles.
In a more general and empirical manner, it can be stated that it is desirable that these two categories of metals, namely the two-valence-state transition elements and the elements of column VIII, each be present in the reagent. at an overall concentration level at most equal to 1000 molar ppm, preferably at 10 molar ppm.
It will be noted that the various metals present at such a level of overall concentration are in extremely small quantities and, in this regard, they do not play any catalytic role. Their presence does not improve the kinetics of the reaction, or even is detrimental to it when they are present in too large a quantity.
The use, in addition to the aforementioned reagent components, of alkali metal fluoride or of quaternary phosphonium fluoride [or even of quaternary ammonium if the constraints that this type of compound generates], usually present in reactive systems, are observed. using fluorinated carboxylates, has not proved to be harmful, but it has generally proved to be of little interest, in particular due to the fact that it produces saline effluents which are difficult to treat. This is the reason why it is preferable to limit their content, in particular their initial content. Thus it is preferable that the fluoride content, which is qualified as ionic, that is to say capable of being ionized in the polarizing medium of the reagent, is at most equal to the initial molar concentration of said RfH material , advantageously half, preferably quarter.
When the substrate is sensitive to degradation by base, the quantity and especially the excess should be limited; thus in the case where the substrates are liable to disproportionate, as is the case with aldehydes which may give rise to Cannizaro and / or Tishchenko reactions, or crotonization reactions, the amount of base should be limited to 4/3, preferably 5/4, preferably 1.1 QS (i.e. Stoichiometric Quantity) relative to the substrate.
The use of a substrate which is not sensitive to degradation by base, thus makes it possible to use large excess of base and therefore of reagent. Then an excess of 20 to 300% is possible; but it is better to limit it for reasons of cost, in general, to a value of about 100%. Of course, the same values are applicable as when the substrate is sensitive to bases.
When the substrate also acts as a solvent, it is then possible to use much lower amounts of base (see below).
The reaction is generally carried out at a temperature between the melting point of the medium and the boiling point under the pressure conditions of the reaction.
More specifically, the reaction is carried out in the liquid phase, at a temperature between about -100 "C and OOC, preferably between about -60" C and 10 C. When RfH is very volatile it is preferable to ensure that it is there is no evaporation; to do this, it is necessary either to prevent the difference between the reaction temperature and the boiling point from being too large, more precisely, it is desirable to work at a temperature which is not higher than the boiling point ( under atmospheric pressure) over 100 "C (two significant figures), advantageously over 800C; either to work in a closed chamber, or to operate under high partial pressure of said RfH. Or to work in the Grignard technique. It is possible and even advantageous to combine at least two of the above measures.
GEA et/ou X est un chlore).Finally, when the formation of carbene is favored by the temperature. This formation of carbene is correlated with a release of hydrohalic acid which promotes side reactions. It is therefore preferable to avoid working at temperatures at most equal to ambient temperature (200C) when there is such a risk (essentially when the carbon number of RfH is equal to 1 or when
GEA and / or X is chlorine).
S'il y a risque double de formation de carbène et sensibilité au base du substrat il est alors préférable de ne pas dépasser environ -20" C. When the substrate is sensitive to basic degradation, it is also preferable to operate at a temperature at most equal to ambient. If there is a double risk of carbene formation and sensitivity to the base of the substrate then it is best not to exceed about -20 "C.
According to a particularly advantageous implementation of the present invention, the reaction is carried out so as to first introduce into the medium either the RfH material or the base, and finally the substrate. In other words, to constitute a reagent from the RfH material, from the base and, where appropriate, from the solvent and / or from the diluent, then to make this reagent act on the substrate. This variant will be referred to below under the expression Grignard variant.
The reaction is carried out so as to introduce the last component of the reagent gradually and advantageously over a period of time of between 5 and 300 minutes.
The reaction is carried out so as to introduce said base gradually and advantageously over a period of time of between 5 and 300 minutes.
(formule V)
Cette espèce,
Thus, during the study which led to the present invention, it was shown that the reagent led to a new species
(formula V)
This species,
Demanderesse. Aussi une caractéristique majeure du réactif selon la présente invention est la présence de ladite espèce (ou de plusieurs) dans le réactif; avantageusement à des concentrations qui seront exposées ci-après pour les dérivés d'amides.M + has not been described anywhere to the knowledge of
Applicant. Also a major characteristic of the reagent according to the present invention is the presence of said species (or more) in the reagent; advantageously at concentrations which will be explained below for the amide derivatives.
Also the present invention relates to the compounds of formula:
In this formula, M + represents an advantageously monovalent cation corresponding to the bases specified in the present description; advantageously alkalis and phosphoniums. Preferences for Rf, for R1 and R2 are set out below for amide derivatives, R1 corresponding to R13
This tetrahedral intermediate compound can serve as a perfluoroalkylation reagent (s), as described above, but also can constitute a reaction intermediate leading to other interesting compounds than those resulting from hydrolysis. The tetrahedral form can in particular be blocked by agents (essentially electrophiles) known to add to alcoholates,
In particular to give Osilyl, O-acyl, (bi) sulphite derivatives. These blocked derivatives constitute particularly interesting synthetic reagents and intermediates.
When it is used as a perfluoroalkylating reagent, it is preferable that the substituents R1, R2 and the optional one of Y are of small size, that is to say that when they are alkyl their number of carbons is advantageously at most equal to 6, advantageously to 3, preferably methyl; when they are aryl, advantageously phenyl (substituted or not), it is preferable that their number of carbons is advantageously at most equal to 10, advantageously to 8. It is preferable that the R1, R2 and Y have a number of carbons overall. at most equal to 15, advantageously 12, preferably 8.
When it is not used as a perfluoroalkylation reagent, but as a synthetic intermediate, the R1, R2 and Y can be of larger size (provided that it is at least partially, preferably completely soluble in the medium) the overall carbon number can then reach about 50. However, it is preferable that one does not exceed about 30 carbon atoms.
When employed, the amides used play a role in the formation of the reagent. In fact, it has been possible to demonstrate that the reagent formed in the amides (especially when they correspond to the precursor of the formula of the tetrahedral compound below) was a reagent whose reactive species was the compound of addition of CF. 3- on the carbon of the carbonyl function, the oxygen of the latter function becoming anionic.
C'est ce composé qui joue le rôle de vecteur de CF.3- ou plus exactement de Rf-.It is this compound which plays the role of vector of CF.3- or more exactly of Rf-.
according to the present invention, the compounds of formula V can also be obtained by the following routes:
addition of an amine on the hydrate of fluoral or the fluoral (in the following two reaction equations, CF3 is the paradigm of Rf):
Mais ces bases peuvent être des bases relativement faibles. followed by an ionization by means of a base, for example of the type of those referred to in the present application. But these bases can be relatively weak bases.
The operating conditions are advantageously the same as those of the technique which has just been detailed above, but the presence of amide, although desirable, is not essential.
The amines can be of the R2NH or RNH2 type (R = simple alkyl or aryl and corresponding to R11 and / or R12 of formula IV), this method has never been described.
According to another possible route, it is possible to use derivatives of the Rf-Si- (R) 3 type in the presence of a base, the anion of which may be silicophilic. The tetrahedral anion obtained is itself silicophilic; the base may be in a catalytic amount (advantageously 1/50 to 1/2, preferably 1/20 to 1/3 of the QS (that is to say
Stoichiometric quantity)). The reaction can be written by taking as a model
CF3SiEt3 and formamide and as silicophil a fluoride (quaternary ammonium). It should be noted that this technique overcomes certain drawbacks of the use of quaternary ammonium.
(Sa) (R= nBu4N)
(fui) (R= SiEt3)
(fui) (R = SiEt3)
Thus this process consists in reacting a compound of formula Rf-Si (R ') 3 with a base whose anion is silicophilic, where the R' similar or different are hydrocarbon radicals of 1 to about 20 carbon atoms1 advantageously from 1 to 10, preferably from 1 to 5. The total number of carbon of Rf — Si (R ′) 3 advantageously being at most equal to 50, preferably to 30.
(cf R. Walsh Acc. Chem.The term silicophilic is understood to mean the bases which are capable of forming a bond with a silyl having an energy of at least 110 Kcal per mole, advantageously at approximately 120, preferably at 130. (cf. R. Walsh Acc. Chem.
Res.).Res.).
où R20 est un radical avantageusement d'au plus environ 10 carbones, choisi parmi les silyles, les acyle;
où Y représente un azote, avantageusement substitué, ou un atome de chalcogène;
où R1 est un radical choisi parmi l'hydrogène, les radicaux hydrocarbonés tel que aryle, alcoyle;
According to an advantageous implementation of the present invention, the compound of formula V and in particular of formula IV can be obtained by reaction of a base (advantageously silicophilic in the case where R20 is silyl) with a compound of formula R1 R2 Rf CY -R20
where R20 is a radical advantageously of at most about 10 carbons, chosen from silyl and acyl;
where Y represents nitrogen, advantageously substituted, or a chalcogen atom;
where R1 is a radical chosen from hydrogen, hydrocarbon radicals such as aryl, alkyl;
where R2 is a radical chosen from hydrogen, hydrocarbon radicals such as aryl or alkyl, from advantageously unsubstituted amine functions, acyloxyl functions and hydrocarbyloxyl functions.
Also an important characteristic of this new reagent is the presence of this species in the reagent. Also the present invention is aimed in particular at the compounds of formula (IV) Rf-C [O- (M +) XR1N (R11) (R12)] and the reagents containing at least one thereof.
(formule IV)
Of course, the above formula also targets the other enantiomer.
This intermediate can be identified by fluorine NMR (in the case of dimethylformamide, 6 of about 1 ppm [difficult to resolve doublet] relative to HCF3).
In this formula, M + represents an advantageously monovalent cation corresponding to the bases specified in the present description; advantageously alkalis and phosphoniums.
Hammett inférieure en valeur absolue à 0,2, de préférence à 0,1.Rf has already been defined above, R11, R12 and R13 represent aryl hydrocarbon chains, including alkylaryl, alkyl, including aralkyl and cycloalkyl, these chains can be linked together to form one (or even more) cycle (s). Regarding R13 presents a constant value of
Hammett less than 0.2 in absolute value, preferably 0.1.
Another satisfactory value of R13 is the aryl value, advantageously of which the Hammett constant is less in absolute value than 0.2, preferably than 0.1.
This intermediate exhibits good stability, in particular at low temperatures (for example -10, advantageously -20, preferably -30 C).
Thus, according to the present invention, the aim is a reagent of the preceding type which comprises at least one compound of formula IV at a concentration at least equal to one millimole per liter, advantageously to 5 millimoles per liter, preferably 10 millimoles per liter.
This intermediate can serve as a perfluoroalkylation reagent (s), as described below, but also can constitute a reaction intermediate leading to interesting compounds. In particular aldehyde, O-silyl derivative, (bi) sulphite derivative, .O-acylated.
When used as a perfluoroalkylation reagent, it is preferable that the
R11, R12 and R13 are small, that is to say that when they are alkyl their number of carbons is advantageously at most equal to 6, advantageously to 3, preferably methyl; when they are aryl, advantageously phenyl (substituted or not), it is preferable that their number of carbons is advantageously at most equal to 10, advantageously to 8. It is preferable that, overall, the R11, R12 and R13 have a number of carbons at most equal to 15, advantageously 12, preferably 8.
When it is not used as a perfluoroalkylation reagent, but as a synthesis intermediate, the R11, R12 and R13 may be larger in size (provided it is soluble in the medium), the overall carbon number may then reach about 50. However, it is preferable that one does not exceed about 30 carbon atoms.
It is therefore highly advisable to use, alone (s) or as a mixture (optionally with other amides), the amides of formula R13-CO-N (R11) (R12), the recommended ratio between these amides and the base used is then to be at least equal to 1, advantageously to 2, preferably to 5. There is no upper limit, other than that it (s) constitute (s) all of the polar solvent. When these amides are used as solvents most often in the tests carried out (without this necessarily being an optimum) the content of these amides relative to the sum of the polar solvents is between approximately 40 and 80%.
Among the diluents, mention may be made of aliphatic or aromatic hydrocarbons, such as alkanes or aryl derivatives. Mention must be made of the arylmethanes which can serve both as a diluent (because inert under the reaction conditions) and as base sources when the latter is formed beforehand in situ.
The use of this reagent as a perhaloalkylating agent is done simply by adding said reagent to the target substrate considered or vice versa, the amide derivatives currently constitute the best reagents (formula IV).
The target substrates are advantageously chosen from those carrying at least one electrophilic function by addition. In other words, whether the reaction is carried out, in any case on a transient basis, by addition to a function exhibiting a double bond (naturally including that of the donor-acceptor type) or a doublet belonging to a metalloid of at least rank period. equal to 3.
Thus, according to a particularly advantageous implementation of the present invention, such an electrophilic function by addition1 is chosen from carbonyl and thiocarbonyl (> C = S) functions, optionally conjugated with one or more bonds of ethylenic type, chalcogenides (including the chalcogen has an atomic rank at least equal to that of sulfur) carrying a good leaving group (see above) and in particular the dichalcogenides (of which the chalcogens have atomic ranks at least equal to that of sulfur).
Thus, the reagent also advantageously reacts with a compound chosen from carbonyl compounds of ketone, aldehyde, activated ester or (or even acid halide) type, by carrying out an addition on the carbonyl function. The reaction product is an alcohol (ate) in which the carbon atom carrying the hydroxyl function is substituted by a substituted difluoromethyl group.
These transient alcoholates, after hydrolysis (generally acidic), give the substitution or addition compound. The case of amides is developed in the passage relating to the tetrahedral intermediate.
When the electrophilic function of the substrate risks giving reactions of the transesterification type with the base, it is then desirable for the basicity of the leaving group to be similar or greater than that of the base initially used as reactant.
où R20 est un radical avantageusement d'au plus environ 10 carbones, choisi parmi les alcoyles, les silyles, les acyles, celui correspondant au combinaison bisulfitique;
où Y représente un azote, avantageusement substitué, ou un atome de chalcogène;
où R1 est un radical choisi parmi l'hydrogène, les radicaux hydrocarbonés tel que aryle, alcoyle;
The reaction is advantageously carried out at a temperature
where R20 is a radical advantageously of at most about 10 carbons, chosen from alkyls, silyls, acyls, that corresponding to the bisulfite combination;
where Y represents nitrogen, advantageously substituted, or a chalcogen atom;
where R1 is a radical chosen from hydrogen, hydrocarbon radicals such as aryl, alkyl;
where R2 is a radical chosen from hydrogen, hydrocarbon radicals such as aryl or alkyl, from advantageously unsubstituted amine functions, acyloxyl functions, hydrocarbyloxyl functions, with the condition that when R1 is hydrogen, that R2 is phenyl or dimethylamino and that Rf has only one carbon, R2 cannot be silyl of less than 10 carbons.
Or more restrictively, with the condition that when R1 is hydrogen, R2 is neither phenyl nor dimethyl amino or with the condition when Rf has only one carbon R2 cannot be silyl of less than 10 carbons.
The above compounds (including those which have been omitted) are also useful (when R20O- is a good leaving group) to form a Vilsmeyer salt (CF3CH = N + Me2 in general with the said leaving group R20O- as a counter anion. )
In the present description, is considered as a good group leaving the pseudohalogen, that is to say a radical (in general this radical has a light chalcolgene (sulfur or preferably oxygen) by which it is linked to the rest of the molecule) which starts out as an anion, the associated acid of which has an acidity (measured by Hammett's constant) at least equal to that of acetic acid. Among the typical pseudohalogens, mention may be made of the acyloxyl radicals corresponding to perhalogenated acids in alpha of the acyloxyl function, such as trifluoroacetyloxyl (CF3-CO-O-), and especially the sulfonyloxyl radicals, especially those whose carbon carrying sulfur is perfluorinated. the paradigm is trifluoromethylsulfonyloxyl (CF3 - S02-0-).
For the present invention, preference is given to those of the pseudohalogens which, on the basis, have an acidity at least equal to that of the sulfonic acids, such as tosylic (paradigm of arylsulfonic acids) or mesylic (paradigm of alkylsulfonic acids).

EXEMPLE N 6: AUTRES HALOFORMES
The composition of the mixture is determined by 19F NMR and CGL assay with internal calibration:
TT (PhCOCF3) = 35%
RR (PhCOH (CF.3) 2) = 79%
RT (PhCOH (CF.3) 2) = 44%
EXAMPLE N 6: OTHER HALOFORMS
General operating mode
About 5 g of potassium tert-butoxide, then 120 ml of anhydrous DMF, are introduced into a perfectly stirred 500 ml reactor comprising mechanical stirring (650 rpm) and kept under nitrogen purging. The reaction medium is then cooled to -40 ° C. using an acetone-dry ice bath. About 5 g of benzaldehyde are then introduced dropwise, then 3 to 4 equivalents of haloform, by bubbling through the reaction medium if it is gaseous (CCl2FH,
CF.3CF.2H), drip if liquid (CCl3H). After stirring for one hour between -40 and -450C, 5 ml of concentrated acetic acid are added dropwise and then allowed to return to room temperature. The crude reaction medium is analyzed by CGL, then by CGLISM coupling in order to identify the product and the by-products formed.
The reaction medium is diluted in 150 ml of water, then the products are extracted with ethyl acetate (3 × 170 ml). The combined organic phases are then washed 4 to 6 times with 100 ml of water in order to remove the DMF (CGL control), then twice with 50 ml of saturated NaCl solution. The organic phase is then dried over anhydrous MgSO4 for 30 to 60 minutes, then filtered through sintered glass.
If the boiling temperature of the synthesized compound is high enough, the ethyl acetate can be evaporated on a rotary evaporator, under a vacuum of 20 mm.
Hg and at a temperature of 35 C; otherwise, ethyl acetate is then distilled off at atmospheric pressure.
On isole ainsi le carbinol avec une pureté supérieure à 90%.Fractional distillation is carried out under a vacuum of about 15 mm Hg. The carbinol is thus isolated with a purity greater than 90%.
