Abstract

A unit which moulds and finishes an item of car interior cladding with decorative covering comprises a matrix (3) with a hollow or cavity (5) section which includes the exit orifice (10) and injection nozzle (9) of an injection channel (6) for the plastic material. The tip of the nozzle extends into the moulding cavity. Its tip has a cutting section (11), which comes into play as the upper die (4) closes down onto the matrix. Preferably the cutting edge (11) extends around the periphery of the nozzle tip, and includes notches (12) assisting diffusion of plastic into the moulding cavity.
