Abstract

The procedure for marking objects includes a process of directing a laser beam at the surface to be marked, with the laser beam following a predetermined profile in the marking zone. The profile corresponds to a particular marking design or motif to be recorded. The laser beam is able to alter the structure of the molecules in the first atomic layers of the structure of the material. It produces a modification which is invisible to the naked eye, but which produces a luminescence phenomena when the surface is illuminated by an electromagnetic beam which is specifically selected to reveal the marking. The radiation used is from an excimer laser, producing luminescence within the visible spectrum when used to illuminate the surface.

La présente invention concerne le marquage de produits à l'aide d'un laser afin de réaliser une marque invisible dans le spectre du visible, pouvant être révélé dans certaines conditions afin de permettre une identification de provenance et de lutter contre la reproduction illicite de ces produits.
