Abstract

The device (1) has a circular shape with a raised centre (6) and a recess (4) which serves as a finger grip. The underside (3) is flat and a number of flexible suction cups (7) are positioned around its periphery. The suction cups are pressed onto the surface, and the air under them displaced through internal passages (2) in the body of the device. The passages emerge at a single opening. When the air is expelled, the opening is closed with a finger, and the disc can be lifted. To release the disc the finger is simply lifted from the opening, releasing the suction.
