Abstract

Secure collection unit is for used syringes and other similar articles. It has a container (3) which has an opening (4), through which the objects are introduced. There is also an opening (5) with a closure (10), which allows the contents to be removed. The novel feature is a channel (6) of small cross section but sizeable length. The inner end (6A) of the channel inside the container, leads into a second container (7) which can be removed from the external casing. Into this, fall the syringes. Preferably the channel is a tube, of diameter 3-5 cm and length \- 20 cm.
