Abstract

The chassis (1) has standard couplings (6) and buffers (3), with an HGV draw-bar attachment (12), and four rail-wheel axles. Between the centre axles and each end axle a U-section road-wheel chassis (7) encloses the main chassis beams, to which it is securely locked hydraulically at one of two levels corresponding to rail or road operation.
