Abstract

The machine enclosure (1) has a coin box (3) fitting into a chamber in the side of the enclosure. The coin box has a shutter that slides from the open position as the coin box is withdrawn from the enclosure to a closed position when the coin box is fully withdrawn. The shutter and the chamber in the enclosure are fitted with a tongue and a guide respectively. These co-operate to slide the shutter as the coin box is displaced, opening it as it is inserted and closing it as it is removed.
