Abstract

The mechanism comprises a roller (1) running on a belt (8). The roller is fixed on a lever (2), and the ensemble is held in contact with the belt by means of a spring (3). When the belt is displaced laterally the lever is subjected to a lateral push from right to left. This action forces a spindle (4) held in two bearings (5) to turn slightly from the right top the left, driving forwards or backwards a return roller (7) support (6). The length and shape of the lever are such that a slight spring pressure is sufficient to hold the roller in rubbing contact with the belt.
