Abstract

Antifungal shampoo for use on the hair or body, comprises omoconazole (I) or one of its salts in soluble form (esp. the nitrate) as the main antifungal agent in an aq. washing compsn. contg. at least one nonionic surfactant or at least two different amphoteric surfactants. Pref. nonionic surfactants are alkyl polyglucosides but ethoxylated, propoxylated or glycerolated fatty alcohols may be used. Amphoteric surfactants may be betaine, sultaine, or imidazoline derivs. such as cocoampho diacetate or the cocoampho dipropionate. Generally 5-15 wt.% nonionic and 25-35 wt.% amphoteric surfactants are used.
