Abstract

The utility terminal includes the lid (1,2) to an underground chamber (4) which is hinged about an horizontal axis (3) such that when lowered it is flush with the ground. The lid is connected by articulated arms (10) to beams (6) constrained to move vertically by rollers (7) running in rails (8). A platform (5) is supported by the beams (6) so that it remains horizontal while free to move from a retracted position in the chamber to a ground level position as the lid (1,2) is opened. The horizontal platform (5) is suitable to carry utility terminals of all types.
