Abstract

The subject of the present invention is a hammer mill including a rotor equipped with swinging hammers and a grating (7) the ends of which are fastened to support mounts (8a and 8b). According to the invention, the mill includes at least one pneumatic double-acting ram (11) which is placed at the rear of the mill and an operating rod (14) which can pivot with respect to the piston rod (13) of the ram is arranged so as to have a helical movement and has a cleat (17) which can grip onto a lug (18) fixed to the rear grating mount (8b).
