Automatic evacuation and parachuting system
passengers in the event of an air disaster
The present invention relates to a group and instantaneous rescue system for passengers in the event of an air disaster, in full flight at high altitude, as well as during takeoffs and stranded landings.
The invention belongs to the field of passenger air transport
The technique of air salvation currently existing comes down to launching with passenger parachutes, one after the other, by one or two emergency doors, and to ejecting pilots with ejectable seats, outside the cabin.
This modality causes general panic of travelers and great loss of human life
According to a first characterization the system according to the invention comprises the following components - the joystick (1) under the control of the pilots - the joystick (2) at the rear of the aircraft for flight attendants - the mechanism shock wave release (3) - the steel cables (4a), (4b) and (4c) - the release mechanism (5) of the emergency door (6) - the door hinges (7) rescue (fus) - the launching parachute (8) of the descent parachute (11) - the rope (9) - the slide (10) - the rope (12) - the release mechanism (13) of the platform -form (18) - the bars - stop (16a) and (16b) of the platform (18) - the traction and defense ropes (14a) and (14b) of the platform - the connecting rings (15a ) and (15b) ropes (14a) and respectively (14b) with the platform (18), the ropes connecting the platform (18) of the parachute (11) - the ropes (19a) and (19b) which support the platform (18) by binding it with the parachute (11) - l he connecting rings (20a) and (20b) of the platform (18) with the ropes (19a) and respectively (19b) - the passenger seats (17) - the oxygen bottle and mask (21) - lifebuoys (22)
The system according to the invention is shown in order of progression of the rescue operation in the following figures
- figure number 1 - represents the moment of triggering
of the rescue operational system
- figure number 2 - represents the phase of evacuation of
passengers by the slide (10)
- figure number 3 - represents the descent phase with the
passenger group parachute (11)
The system according to the invention is particularly intended for rescuing passengers of planes with a large transport capacity, of several hundred passengers
Depending on the transport capacity - passengers of the plane, it will be equipped with several launch slides (1 or
One of the systems, provided with a slide (10), can rescue 1 to 50 people
The operating principle of the system according to the invention is based on commands and operations of a purely mechanical nature, eliminating the potential for blockage which would have been fatal if it had intervened during the rescue operation.
The evacuation and parachuting system can be operated either by the pilots actuating the joystick (1) or by the flight attendants who can actuate the joystick (2)
The shock wave trigger mechanism (3) automatically comes into operation when a strong collision occurs. The mechanism (3), before triggering the evacuation system, activates a verbal command which announces to passengers the compulsory seat belts
The joystick (1) is actuated by the pilots of the aircraft only in case there is no longer any righting solution
The joystick (2) being at the disposal of the flight attendants at the rear of the aircraft, can be handled only in the event that the pilots are unable to actuate the joystick (1)
Each of these three commands: the joystick (1) i the joystick (2) and the mechanism (3), can operate independently of the other two and produce the same effect + through the cables (4a), (4b) and respectively (4c)
The unlocking mechanism (5) unlocks and causes the opening of the emergency door (6)
On the inside of the door (6) is attached the launching parachute (8) which, when the door is opened, is inflated by air currents from outside the aircraft
At this moment there i it detaches from the door (6) and pulls after it, outside, by the rope (9), the descent parachute (11) having an immense surface of fabric specially calculated and made to support the platform (18) with the group of passengers
This type of parachute which can support several tons is currently used intensively for the parachuting of containers with food 3 provisions or equipment
When the parachute (11) exits and inflates, the rope (12) is extended and actuating on the release mechanism (13) it causes the platform (18) to launch into the slide (10) , the two stop bars (16a) and (16b) detaching from the aircraft support floor
The platform (18) unlocking, the rope (12) breaks, the length of the rope being for this purpose calculated and manufactured
The descent parachute (11) pulls the platform (18) with the seats (17), which slides in the slide (10) and reaches the outside.
The sliding is done quickly and easily thanks to the grafit which enters into the composition of the plastic material from which the platform is made (18)
The traction and the defense by the parachute (11) of all the weight represented by the platform (18) carrying the group of travelers is done by the resistant ropes (14a) and (14b) (19a) and (19b), arranged as in figure number 3
Once evacuated from the slide (10) outside, the platform (18) with these seats (17) take the position of equilibrium shown in figure number 3, due to the ropes (19a) and (19b)
This slope taken by the platform (18) in air avoids the impact with the ground on the descent
In the event of a gust of wind, the platform (18) will be easily dragged by the wind, thanks to its inclination facing the horizontal, avoiding hooking with different obstacles
In the platform (18), at the level of the feet of the passengers, there are provided places specially arranged for the life buoys (22) which are necessary in the event of a parachuting on the water
The lifebuoys (22) are buried in the platform (18) and covered by the carpet, but at the time of the parachuting they are accessible and easy to remove
Each passenger seat is provided with a bottle filled with oxygen and an oxygen mask (21), the bottle with oxygen mask (21) being necessary for the breathing of persons during the parachuting if the flight altitude is very high
This evacuation system can be used in the event of failed take-offs and landings causing the aircraft to burn *
When the plane starts on the runway or lands on it or it flies at low altitude, in the event of a fire, the system according to the invention performs the rescue by a rapid group evacuation of all the people on board.
The application of this system on an industrial scale covers the field of existing planes in circulation which will undergo an insignificant intervention consisting in the location of the slide (10), as well as the field of the construction of new passenger planes
