Abstract

Height-adjustable table for medical, paramedical and animal use. Height-adjustable table comprising a fixed mount (6) and a work surface (17) which is mobile relative to the mount, actuating means (11+10+9) for bringing the work surface into a selected position and means for locking it in this position (5 and 5bis), characterised in that the fixed mount comprises a pillar of polygonal cross-section (6), the mobile work surface (17+18) being mounted cantilever-fashion on said pillar (6) and at least two rolling members (5 and 5bis) set at different levels, the locking means comprising at least two vertically offset rolling members on approximately horizontal axes carried by the work surface (17+18) or by the pillar (6) and each pressing against one of two parallel opposite surfaces of the pillar or of the work surface.
