En référence à ces dessins, le dispositif comporte un cadre (1), qui emprisonne une plaque de couverture transparente en verre feuilleté (2), recouverte d'un revêtement de protection anti-dérapant (3). Le document à visualiser (4) est positionné sur une plaque amovible (5), qui uniformise la lumière provenant des sources lumineuses (13), alimentées par une gaine électrique (12), reliée à un transformateur situé dans la réservation (11). La diffusion de cette lumière est optimisée par une plaque transparente de verre trempé (6). Un coffret (7), permet à l'empilage formé par les couches 4, 5 et 6 de rester en place lorsque l'on ouvre le dispositif afin de procéder au remplacement du document à visualiser.
