Abstract

The invention relates to a connector for a pipe for discharging waste water from sanitary appliances, comprising a pipe (10) formed of a succession of rings (14) and of grooves (16) and on which there are slipped an annular seal (28) and a cup-shaped nut (18), the bottom wall (20) of which is provided with a hole for the free passage of the pipe and the side wall (24) of which is internally screw threaded. The connector furthermore includes a split washer (30) the thickness of which is less than the width of the circular grooves formed between the rings of the pipe, of an internal diameter slightly greater than the external diameter of the grooves, and of an external diameter greater than that of the rings but slightly less than the internal diameter of the nut, the said washer being inserted in a groove close to one end of the pipe, its projecting part serving to support the bottom wall (20) of the nut (18) and the seal (28) when the nut is screwed on.
