Abstract

Cutting tool, particularly for floor or wall coverings, including a cutting blade carried by a support and a guide for this support. The support 14 is mounted under a carriage 4 provided with at least one longitudinal descending bracket element 12 engaged with a rail 8, 16 secured to the guide 1. The carriage 4 is provided with two descending bracket elements 12 exhibiting symmetry with respect to its vertical longitudinal median plane which contains the cutting blade 5. The carriage 4 carries an operating handgrip 11 in its plane of symmetry. The rail 8 is carried by a planar cutting rule 2 which forms the guide 1 with a support rule 3, itself provided, along its opposite edge, with a balancing bead 9.
