Sur ce type d'outil, un changement de poinçon entraîne systématiquement le remplacement de l'ensemble de l'outil. D'où son coût élevé. De surcroît, et compte tenue de la hauteur trés limitée de l'écrou de frappe auquel est fixé le poinçon, la longueur d'affûtage de ce dernier est limitée à 2 m/m. A noter également que le guide poinçon en acier qui est en même temps le serre-tôle a l'inconvénient de rayer les métaux.L'outil selon l'invention permet d'éviter un tel ensemble propre à chaque poinçon.
