Abstract

The invention relates to an optical instrument intended for the visual magnification of any object held between the index finger and the thumb to which it is fixed. It consists of a magnifying glass 1 fixed at the end of an articulated arm formed by two elements 2, 3 and comprising, at its other end, a fixing ring 4. This system leaves the hand which carries the magnifying glass free in its movements, thus enabling it to hold the objects to be observed. The device according to the invention is particularly intended for observation of and for work on small-sized objects. Eg: electronics, micromechanics, watchmaking or sewing.

Le dispositif représenté sur la figure 1 comporte une lentille (1) bi-convexe en verre ou matière plastique transparente de l'ordre de 4,5 cm de diamètre, munie sur sa tranche en partie inférieure d'un ergot (2) encastrable dans le bras (3) permettant à la loupe une rotation de 360 degrés. Un bras articulé composé de deux éléments (3.4) de l'ordre de 1,5 cm de longueur permettant le positionnement correct de la loupe devant l'objet à observer. Le bras articulé peut être remplacé par un flexible de même longueur. Une bague de fixation (5) comprenant sur toute sa hauteur une fente de 3 à 4 mm de largeur assurant à la bague la souplesse nécessaire à sa mise en place autour du pouce.
