Abstract

Tool intended for taking impressions inside the bend 917 of steam generator U-tubes, composed of two similar elements: - on one side is placed a plug 910 provided with seals; it is surmounted by a flexible insert 911, and connected to the outside of the tube by an umbilical cable 912 for supplying resins. The base of this umbilical cable comprises a leaktight valve 913; - on the other side, a similar plug 914 is provided with expandable (or inflatable) seals 915. The plug has an umbilical cable which bears on a casing 916, which is leaktight, on the tube plate of the steam generator, and connected to a vacuum pumping unit. After evacuating the U-tube, the inflatable seal 915 is closed, then, by opening the valve 913, resins are injected.
