Abstract

Process for positioning a molecular sieve in an electrical apparatus such as a circuit-breaker. The process is characterised in that: - the product (18) constituting the molecular sieve is packed in a box (15) having a snap-fitting sealed cover (16); - the said box is placed inside the apparatus; - the apparatus is closed; - a vacuum is created inside the apparatus prior to filling with a dielectric gas, said cover being separated from the box during formation of the vacuum, thus placing the product in contact with the internal volume of the apparatus. Application in particular to sulphur hexafluoride circuit-breakers.
