Abstract

This device consists, in the event of capsizing with a multi-hull ship, in righting one hull at a time one after the other in order to resume a normal position and continue its journey. This device consists of a platform frame 1 on which, on either side, each hull is assembled by means of joints 12, 13, 14, 15 and bridging parts 16, 17, 18, 19. After unbolting the bridging parts 16, 17, 18, 19 the hulls pivot on the joints 12, 13, 14, 15 by half a turn and by refixing the bridging parts at 20, 21, 22, 23 the boat can be sailed again. This device, by use of technical means which are suitable for each make of multi-hulled ship may be of any design, both in terms of mounting, housing and dimensions.

Description

Dispositif de retournemer.t pour multicooue.Turning device for multi-core.

The present invention relates to a device for turning hulls for multihulls.

Happily m21 arrives that a multihull is turned over by the wind and "or" the waves. This situation is in principle irreversible without external means "crane or other boat". Survival is in principle assured since a multihull is unsinkable but it can no longer sail.

The object of the device and object of the invention is to turn each hull one after the other, thus returning the boat to its height on the water, its habitability and after reassembly of the trim or a makeshift rigging, continue its journey.

It is obvious that the multihull will be designed for this eventuality.

The details of the invention will be better understood from the description and the accompanying drawings which show by way of nonlimiting example an embodiment of the device.

Figure 1 is a cross section showing the inversion around the link arms.

La figure 2 montre un exemple d'articulation. Figure 2 shows an example of articulation.

La figure 3 montre un exemple de manoeuvre. Figure 3 shows an example of maneuver.

Figure 4 is a general top view.

The main thing of this device is summed up by the following elements: a very resistant platform frame (fig. 4 '1) on which the two shells are fixed on either side by means of the points (2, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18 and 19 fig. 4). The articulations embers (02, 13, 14, 15 fig. 4) which allow the hulls to pivot around the frame as shown in Figure 1.

An example of articulation figure 2 in the axis. median of each hull, on a pedestal (3), fixed to the bottom (11) and stiffened by the pairs (9), a female clevis (5) is bolted (10).

The link arm (1), terminated by a male yoke (4), is assembled on the yoke (5) by one axis (6).

The hull remains in vertical position with respect to the horizontal link arms (1) By means of a trigger guard (2) which encloses the link (1) on a location provided on the hull and which is fixed by two bolts (7 ).

After turning over the hull, the arm is again fixed by the trigger guard (8).

4). The multihull being upside down, after having freed the rigging stays and the rudder bar junction by own means, unbolt the bridges (2 fig. 2) located in (16 fig. 3) or (16 and 17 fig . 4), fix a rope on the keel at (31 fig. 3), pass it under the hull, make it return to a point 34 fig. 3) and pull (drawing 2, 3 fig. 3), reattach the trigger guard (2 fig. 2) which will be in (20 fig. 3 to 20 and 21 fig. 4).

A hull is right up again.

4). eme operation for the other hull, unbolt the bridges (2 fig. 2), located in (18 fig. 3) or (18 and 19 fig. 4), fix a rope under the keel in 32 fig. 3), have him return to 33 fig. 3) and pull (drawing 6 and 7 fig. 3), reattach the trigger guard (2 fig. 2) which will end up in (22 fig. 3) or in (22 and 23 fig. 4).

The boat is again in its water lines.

After reinstallation of a rigging, it can resume its journey.
