Abstract

The fireplace is fitted with an angled baffle comprising a vertical wall (11) and horizontal section (12). The horizontal section has a central swivelling damper (21). The baffle is supported on transverse rods (13). The baffle and damper are operated by a rod (24) to direct the draught downwards from the combustion chamber (16) and vertically upwards through the duct (15). Alternatively the damper can be opened to enable direct draught flow to take place. Thirdly the baffle can be moved to direct gas flow to sweep the face of the glass clear. ADVANTAGE - Enables total flexibility of use of stove.
