Abstract

The present invention relates to a method for fixing strips with spikes to the crosspieces of electrostatic dust-precipitator frames, the said strips being fixed between two crosspieces disposed between the vertical members of the said frames, characterised in that: on each of the two adjacent crosspieces 1,2, between which the said strips with spikes are to be fixed, pairs of notches 3,4 5,6 are made, preferably disposed in a plane perpendicular to the axis of the crosspiece and of width substantially equal to that of the strip to be fixed, the end of the strip with spikes is fixed in a pair of notches of one of the crosspieces 1 by inserting the said end into the pair of notches 3,4 until the first spike of the strip comes into contact with the internal outer face 7 of the said crosspiece and by twisting the free end 8 of the said strip against the external face of the said crosspiece, and the other end of the said strip is fixed to the other crosspiece 2 by inserting the said end into the pair of notches 5,6 of the other crosspiece and by twisting the free end 9 of the said strip against the external face of the said crosspiece.
