Abstract
Description
Multi-frequency broadcasting system for use in confined spaces.
Listening to large and medium wave broadcasting stations (100 KHz to 2000 KHz) on board a motor vehicle is usually interrupted or heavily disturbed inside underground car parks, under bridges and road tunnels. This phenomenon results in a programming change in favor of local stations whose signal strength is less attenuated by the speaker walls. This temporary interruption of the broadcasting service therefore affects listening comfort giving rise to interventions on the on-board receivers by listeners who are often surprised by the high noise level (motors, electrical network).
telle que relais hertziens, liaisons téléphoniques etc...In order to exploit this available radio space, it was necessary to imagine a material meeting certain requirements 1 - supply of programs of these multiple points dotted with
urban environment while avoiding the use of significant infrastructure
such as radio relay, telephone connections etc ...
mes.2 - reach a maximum of listeners despite the short passage of vehicles
under a bridge, or the occasional stay in an underground car park, without
give rise to settings on the receivers in order to obtain our programs
my.
born from the external service to that broadcast at the entrance E of the speakers, in
ensuring recovery similar to external waves at the outlet.
The state of the art proposes in particular in an American patent number 1.314.236, a telecommunication system at low power and at multiple frequencies of which we will retain only the possibility of connecting several transmitters on a common antenna in order to solve certain problems of crosstalk according to the author. Indeed, the reception survey still too badly located (page 3), the choice of frequencies deliberately far from other services (page 2), as well as the number of independent sources for each of the transmitters (page 3) do not respond to the continuity of service or the requirements expressed above.
The system essentially consists of a cassette player C, associated with a battery of low-power transmitters 1, 2 and 3 connected to a common antenna B1. The transmitters are not limited in number.
All of these means combined with one another, including the "endless" C cassette player used continuously, contributes to obtaining an autonomous installation. This type of reader is characterized by the fact that it ensures a permanent reading of the capacity of the cassette which it contains. This equipment was usually associated in its applications with triggering or time delay systems, in particular in telephone answering machines or certain alarm systems, the message of which is diffused in the order of the text, to then be stored again and automatically returned to the position of departure, all synchronized by a sound mark recorded on the cassette.
In order to widen the range of reception of our messages as much as possible in order to compensate in number of listeners for the short passage time of vehicles, the output of reader C is connected to the inputs of all transmitters 1, 2 and 3 thus broadcasting simultaneously the same program on different frequencies.
diffusion ;
2. un synthétiseur electronique de musique ou de parole ;
In this intensive application of the reader mechanism and in order to manage the endurance of the latter; it is planned to replace it at night with: (optional)
1. a radio receiver (TUNER) thus transmitting directly to
inside the enclosure programs from a radio
diffusion ;
2. an electronic music or speech synthesizer;
3. no device, given the sufficient signal of the carrier wave
to cover the stray level.
This substitution is carried out by means of a time inverter in H of the diagram.
The pilot stage P of each transmitter is adjusted to the respective frequency of a broadcasting station received outside the enclosure but not in the enclosure, in order to ensure transmission continuity. This arrangement has the secondary advantage of being able to respond to a possible permeability problem of the enclosure, since the signal strength of the external unit will cover the fugitive emission.
Depending on the requirements of the installation, the transmitters have an adjustable output power independent of R of the PA. An adjustable attenuator 4 has at the common output of the system assures a general level dosage.
This type of installation calls for the use of a large electromagnetically closed loop B1 installed along the perimeter of the parking rooms, or the wall or ceiling of a bridge, figure 1. In order to ensure the passage from outside waves Z1 to inside waves Z2 in figure 2 giving rise to interference zones I1, the loop B1 is equipped with a device L placed at the openings E and S of the enclosure in figure 1. This device is composed of a wire line type. It allows, depending on the shape and the length which it is given, to obtain a retraction of the field Z2 (bis) in FIG. 2, and thus makes it possible to reduce and local it will be the interference space I present between the two zones Z1 and Z2; Negligible interference space given the movement of the vehicle. Adopted both at the inputs and outputs of the speakers, it promotes spontaneous recovery to external waves Z1.
For underground parking applications, the loop B1 is associated with one or more ramps B2 depending on the number of entrances or exits E of the enclosure (general diagram). This derivation taken for example at P1 is essential for routing our waves, so that this private reception access area is not a threshold of interference before reaching the field of the main antenna B1. For the reasons of interference expressed above, as well as for problems of channeling the waves on the P walls present in confined access, the end of the B2 strap is also equipped with a flying line
L. The device is used in both cases in preference to a fixed loop for reasons of possibility of adjustment.
The system described above may concern but not exclusively the broadcasting of short advertising messages.
