Abstract

1. A current limiter which can be associated with a circuit breaker provided with a magnetic tripping device, comprising in a case : - a movable contact disposed on a pivotable arm (17) normally applied by a spring (RI) with a predetermined pressure force against the leg (15b) of a fixed contact, - the mobile contact and the cooperating leg of the fixed contact forming a contact loop, - the mobile contact being briefly separated from the fixed contact on the appearance of a short-circuit by rotation of the arm pivoting around an axis (0) against the force of spring (R1), characterized in that it comprises an indicator (20) memorizing the opening of the mobile contact, provided with : - a visual indicator element (23, 25) movable in translation parallel to a front face of the case (12) and adapted to appear, in the work position, under the action of a spring (R2) opposite a window (24) provided in case (12) for signalling an opening action of the current limiter, - a hooking nose (21) provided at a small distance from the rotation axis (0) of the contact holding arm (17) for maintaining by cooperation with said contact holding arm (17) said indicator element in the rest position, said element being freed under the effect of the rotation of the contact holding arm (17) around axis (0) and allowing, for the work position, the free setting of the contact holding arm.
